    I love this! I have ALOT of cotton yarn rn and had been planning on doing something similar but I really like how you did this more than what I had in mind. I love the texture too! I was wanting a very small crossbody bag just big enough for my phone and a couple of very small items and I think this would work. Im gonna work one up and I still make it a little bigger around but I’m so glad I saw your tutorial! I hope to see more soon!

    I would suggest you start off with extra chains than 32 that way it'll end up being wider, and for it to be taller continue with the pattern until to your desired length.

    I love the look of this bag, and it's my first try at something round! I have it finished but can't seem to get the strap right. I chain two, make a SC in the first chain, put my hook through the other loop as shown and follow through, put my hook through the two loops as shown and follow through, do it again, but then have something that is not right. I have extra loops going across the work and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Sorry this is so long! Any suggestions welcome. :)

    The part that helped me (and that I didn’t “see” from the tutorial) is to rotate the strap each stitch-that gives the ropy shape to mine. When I flip each time to aim into the two loops, it allows me to position the hook better.

    Thanks for the tutorial! I slipped stitched the bottom to secure and it looked great. I did notice the top of the case, the last single crochet row folds / rolls down a little and was thinking if I do a row of slip stitch around, it could fix this. The strap was very confusing, maybe demo it in a lighter color? Also, name the stitches. Are we continuing with a half double crochet? The transition from the first single crochet to the next stitches wasn't as clear. Other than that, the case was very easy to follow.

    I like this, my question is why you only chain two, because for a double crochet, it is supposed to be three.

  • @justdi3347

    @justdi3347

    2 жыл бұрын

    I hope you don't mind me answering but I believe that by chaining 2, it makes less of a hole/space and if it doesn't count as a stitch, you really don't need it. You can just chain 1, turn and put your first stitch back into the same stitch. I have learned that from bag-o-day crochet.

    I had to watch another video tutorial for the straps but finally figured it out! You have to turn it each time. The “V” from each stitch you do points to the two loops you need to go into next. Make sure you keep things loose or it gets really hard to get your hook through!
