"The most difficult pattern I ever created" ........................................... so you're saying this shouldn't have been the first amigurumi I tried (aside from the little ball I made when learning increase and decrease) Honestly, it came out rather well. I wanted to give it as a gift to the person who piqued my interest in crochet and assumed I'd probably have to do it twice to get an acceptable final product, but I think the first attempt came out satisfactory! Granted, it took four hours of me rewinding and pausing your instruction, but I got there in the end. :) My only previous experiences are the six basic stitches (single, half double, double, triple, slip, and chain), a few granny squares, and the aforementioned amigurumi ball I used to learn increase/decrease. I watched your video on color change before trying this but hadn't practiced any color changes. I couldn't have come anywhere close to my results without your clear instructions!

I have been teaching myself to crochet for a few months and have finally finished making this skull as a gift! I think because of the way I was holding it, I wasn't able to hide the black yarn well, but I ended up just embroidering around those areas to clean it up a bit. Still a bit funny looking but it gives him some character Thank you for sharing these patterns!

I'm learning to crochet, can't even name a single stitch yet, but I made your little 3D cartoon heart and decided to challenge myself with this skull for my 3rd project, the teeth were a stitch to the right (but i just sewed them to the bottom of the skull), but besides that it came out great! You're explaining things great, even for someone that doesn't understand the terms, and it's easy to follow you, so thank you :D

It's my second amigurumi ever ( I've be crochetting for like two days) and I think I've done great! I finished all of it but the details cause I used a paper clip as a needle and it was too difficult to not pull some other yarn... The only thing I think I could have done better is the left eye, it's a bit wonky and a bit bigger than the right one. You explain REALLY well!

Difficult is an understatement, m'man, lol. I cannot gift this little guy to anyone for all the curses uttered throughout its creation. In the end, mine looks like a cross between a skull and an alien...not sure why *shrugs shoulders* and because one eye seems squished, he may very well be scowling at me right now (that's what it looks like to me). This video is timed at 39:22...I think I paused about 70 times and 1.5 hrs later I am now the proud owner of a crocheted skull head...or alien head...still not sure which... Thumbs up for an advanced expert-level crocheting project!

I'm working on making a crochet Halloween garland kind of thing and these skulls are perfect for it. I'm kinda crap at crochet but I've managed two skulls today. I seem to get messed up when it comes to the end of the teeth and then the closing, but they look pretty good. The more I make I'm sure the better they'll end up looking. I'm planning on using the skulls, bats, and ghosts from @ClubCrochet as well as a pumpkin from another designer that I'll sew a little jack-o-lantern face onto. Thank you for the pattern and the video tutorial. I'd never have been able to stitch this skull without it! Planning on doing a few skulls in an Ivory/Ecru color to give them that weathered look and maybe a few funky skulls with different colored eyes, I'm thinking red and blue.

I didn’t enjoy this as much as the ghost tutorial, mostly because as a near-beginner I found myself asking ‘why’ quite often. (Why did we cut the purple if we needed it on the next row, why are we using an embroidery needle? I got it in the end but found myself having to go back and rewatch bits over and over.) It eventually turned out not very much like yours, but still mostly identifiable as a skull, and your tutorials are by far the best I’ve found online. Minor issues I came across are mentioned above purely to give feedback that you might find useful for future beginner tutorials. I will be trying the skull again now I’ve almost managed it once! Thank you for your great patterns and for sharing your expertise so generously! :)

Hmmm. This pattern is definitely a tricky one to be fair. Maybe just try taking it veeerry slow when it comes to those tough rounds. If you'd like extra help you can try asking the Facebook community and share some pictures, we might be able to help better over there: facebook.com/groups/490695894637431/

I’ve made 4 of these in the last 2 days with various sizes yarn and one that I tried adding additional stitches to so it would come out bigger. I LOVE this pattern! If I wanted to sell the ones I’ve made, can I do that using your pattern if I give you credit?

If your having a hard time with like when it comes to the eyes it’s because he does not leave it like you normally would it’s kind of hard to explain he kind of light does what you do with a magic circle when you’re trying to make a hat you flip it inside out kind of And I’ve never wanted to finish a craft so quick in my life because this was my grandfathers birthday present and it was turning out amazing this was actually one of my first crocheting projects

Hahaha yah this one is crazy tough. I don't know how I even designed it originally! It's a lot easier to make the second time though.

whoah man, did it give me a hard time, but I finished it :D I am actually left handed but learned right-hand stich so the split technique gave me a hella big challenge :/ :D do you have perhaps a short video on how do you hold the strands? I couldn't figure it out at all although I can see it is simple. My SO will love this little skullington!!

This was actually pretty easy for me for my first amigurumi. I want to make a larger version for a friend of mine, but I can't quite figure out how beyond using bulky yarn. If anyone has any tips or a written pattern that'd be great!

Can you re-make it but bigger? I love it and Bigger would look great, or how can I modificate the patterns?

A quick way to make it bigger is to use chunky or bulky yarn, that's the easiest way in my opinion.

So I have a question! Would I be able to sell skulls that I make using this pattern if I gave you credit for the pattern or is that a no go? If not that's completely fine!
