This is the ninth video in a series for absolute beginning crocheters. In this video we'll use a Magic Circle or Magic Ring to create coasters for your car's cupholder. If you've ever struggled to clean out the crumbs and icky-sticky stuff in your car's cupholder, this is your solution! These handy coasters are absorbent and will keep your drink holder squeaky clean.
These also make a great gift idea! They're a perfect stocking stuffer or use a camouflage yarn to create cupholder coasters for a tough-guy Father's Day gift!

This is such a easy and great pattern. Already made everyone christmas. i didn't have any cotton yarn, but have tons of cotton thread so i work 3 strands of this together and came out great.

Thank you!! I can’t wait to see how they work in my car. I used acrylic because that’s what I have on hand so I’ll make more in cotton if they don’t work well

Yes, it's fantastic. But for beginners, acrylic yarn is sometimes easier. The acrylic moves easier through your hook and doesn't split quite as easily. It's personal preference, really :)

Idk why but mine is kinda turning into a bubble. It’s not staying flat and I’m only on round 2. Is there something I’m doing wrong?

Make sure you're counting your stitches correctly. You should increase stitches with each round, that is what keeps your circle flat.
