it's depending where you put the buttons. In this picture probably I didn't put the button same amount of sts at both strap.

Is the leading 1 or 2 chains considered apart of the 42 stitches or however many stitches for each row?

Hi. No, it does not count as the 42 sts count.

What could be the size of this diaper...length and width. So that while making we can chek the measurement.... Your explanation was awesome. Wanna make it as soon as possible but i would like to know the measurement coz my hand goes tight while knitting..as am a beginner would be better if measurement could be given

the waist part is 14 inches wide when unbutton. The circumference are very depending which hole you please the button. It is 11 inches long (unfold).

What sizes to measure if it's made to measure for my niece? I will be using 10mm hook with a chunky chenille yarn so i need the sizes to measure, thank you

Such a beautiful design, but it is extremely large. Definitely not 0-3 month size, I’d say it’s more like 6-9 months. I made this for my one-month-old cousin, but instead it fits my eight-month-old son. I used 4-weight yarn w/ 5mm hook, as the pattern specified. Ugh...

Glad i read this comment. I was wondering how big it actually would be. I think ill try a smaller hook to see what size i get.....

After the 9 slip stitches it says 26 half double.. That leaves 7 on the other side but you side they should be the same? Where am i going wrong?!

The first HDC goes in the same stitch as the last slip stitch. Then 25 more HDC along. But it did give me only 8 stitches left. I'm okay with that though.

the other diaper cover video has only 1 button. The waist part over lap each other whereas this diaper cover has 2 buttons.
