    Thanks. I've been looking a long time for a video that explains this easily. Even Photopea's own doc's on Smart Objects is useless for trying to create mockups like this. Other video's used pre-created PSD files with the layers already in place, or they seem to miss basic steps. What you clued me into here was the File/Open&Place rather than just dragging and dropping an image into the Smart Object layer which does not work!

    thankyou so much! I just wondered... I am trying to create a button pin mockup that is very shiny. But when I place my design over the top of it, all the shine is lost and it is very flat and 2 dimensional looking. I tried to lower transparency to hopefully allow some of the shine through but it just faded my design. Any suggestions on a button I can press to acheive what I'm trying to do here? Thanks heaps :)

    Just discovered your channel about a week ago and am finding it very helpful. Thank you! I've placed pictures on pictures before to make it look like it's actually there but when you use a mockup to show a 2D graphic in 3D, how does the mockup do that? In other words, if I want to take a photo of my office building and place my 2D logo on the front in 3D, how do I get that converted to 3D? Thank you!

  • @LearnwithZar

    @LearnwithZar

    Thanks for finding me and for watching, much appreciated 🙏👊🏼. This is a puzzle, we'll figure it out. My thoughts are to take a building Mockup that's already exist, eg. on PSD template or download one from unblast.com. replace their building photo on layers with yours and follow the normal steps of converting 2D to 3D using the Photopea canvas. I haven't tried it before but you've given me a video idea, I'll come back to you, but let me know if you figure it out first.

  • @LearnwithZar

    @LearnwithZar

    2 жыл бұрын

    I figured it out, you were right it wasn't hectic at all. You would find a PSD mockup that has the 3D mockup you like, you can even move the placement of where your 3D logo would end up to exactly where you want. Then replace the background picture with your own office picture. Double click on the 'your logo here' layer, and place your 2D on the canvas and follow the normal process.

    @@LearnwithZar Thank you! I did spend 5 minutes on trying something like this yesterday but could not get it to work. I ended up with my office picture on a different tab because I didn't know what I was doing. I'm not experienced with layers (I usually use Luminar AI). @@LearnwithZar so do you use the same method to blend a logo on a tshirt? T-shirts are difficult because they may have creases and folds, and sometimes the model is not standing straight. It's ok if you don't have the time to make the video :)

    @@woopee1677 I completely agree, Tshirts are a pain. I do like a challenge :) we'll see if I can make time for this one. I would, I would use my Warp tool if I had to use my own model and Tshirt.
