Hi Shelbey. I tried this look today and went to the mall for shopping. Well, as soon as I payed and took a step to go, I heard a shop assistant saying to the other: "Did you see her makeup? She was beautiful!" .... I mean... You, Shelbey, MADE MY DAY.

Oh, Shelbey, you are my new makeup artiste! My younger sister, 73, looked so fabulous on FaceTime today! I had to ask her what she had done! She immediately told me she'd been to the "drug store" and bought Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint. I left the hair salon and ran to Target to buy it, #30, Buff, and the concealer stick (Hydro Boost), the mascara and a blush brush which I had already from when I sold Prescriptives, came home, washed my face and began! Viola! I can't see the lines (or wrinkles) in my cheeks when I smile...the tint even covered an age spot. My face was as dewy as it's been in years; I am 77 but will wear makeup unless I'm horribly ill!! YOU are fantastic and I can't wait to get the cream blushes and eyeshadows! Your look is perfect! I wear my hair short, highlighted and spiky so most people think I'm in my early 60's...well, today I LOOKED it! Thank you so so much! You are a darling girl and a total minimal artist! I love you!!

Honey, I'm 64 years young and that was, hands down, THE best tutorial I've ever seen. And I've seen a lot! I'm using your tutorial as a guideline!!

At 77 I still want makeup, but want a very natural look. I truly appreciate your channel and your straight forward comments. I have used makeup all my life since I modeled when I was younger and knew I needed to pare down my look as I grew older. Getting older and losing youthful skin as a palette on which all you makeup is worn means finding the right products......trial and error.....this isn't easy. Not everyone is the same....find what works for you. As you show and recommend products it truly does help us to find our best self and present a beautiful face. Shelby, thank you again!!!

Ki so agree with you , I will be 68 in September and I love how and what she uses. I don’t think old and I don’t believe in tha mature skin crap. I think light is better on me but I love what she uses and it works do me and I love lashes!!

I was definitely a palette collector myself. I hardly use eyeshadow at all, but do love admiring the palettes. I see them as art moreso than something I will actively use on my eyes. I def find less is more on the eye area. I don't wear false lashes or do a dark wing , as it tends to occupy too much space and with my hooded eyes, I don't want my eyes looking even heavier.

Shelbey Wilson I do this and so do you... I love to tightline my eyes because I don’t have a lot of real estates on the lid and it really helps make my eyes look their best! I also use a black primer on my lashes and that builds up my fine lashes and helps them hold mascara better!!

Bring blush higher up on your cheek bones and more towards your hair line to lift your cheek bones. I use a very natural colored blush so I dont look crazy

I have answered and something that really helps is NOT using mascara on my lower lashes!

As an Asian person with hooded eyes, I find your eye trick to be very relatable. Thank you for sharing it!

I tried the “kitten flick” (I like cat eyes but don’t like how they look on me) and I love it. Subtle yet effective!

I have to tell you, I am old enough to be your gram and I still watch all your videos. Your simple minimalist approach is why I enjoy you so much and have found your skills can be applied to an older face as well as your young beautiful face. Example: Ever since you introduced us to LM Caviar Sticks, I am obsessed with them. They blend beautifully and last all day even on mature lids giving just a hint of sheen. You are a doll. Just don't expect me to get aboard the lash wagon. LOL.

Started up watching beauty videos again. There are so many more even from when I watched before. I like your channel alot bc you do more natural, everyday types of looks. This is what's more practical for me in my life. Your tips & tutorials are always very helpful.

After years of dance, I have retired from applying false lashes, plus I see so many people with badly applied ones. I would have liked to see both, with falsies and with mascara only.

I’ve been doing my makeup almost just like this for a month or so now and I just love how fresh it looks! Watching your video definitely reinforced it lol! I usually smudge my lip liner a little on top because I like a softer look and it kind of makes it look as though my Cupid’s bow is more prominent so my lip look fuller :)

You're such a breath of fresh air, I love your technique, I can't relate to a lot of makeup gurus because their look is not what I'm going for. you make everything look so effortless. If I want to make my brows a focal point I soap them and it makes a great difference! I use a slightly wet spoolie and basic soap bar, it makes the hair stick up, then I fill them out mainly at the bottom so the top still looks fluffy.
