Is it just me or is going back to Bare Minerals the new old thing now!? I was SO excited to see this pop up! With all the new and high-tech makeup we have now, I find myself going back to products like Bare Minerals and loving them even more. Such a pretty look, thank you for bringing back the god stuff!

@@bareMinerals then please go back to the old good quality ingredients. i never had issue with BM powder foundation, but since Shiseido bought the company the foundation has changed...less coverage, more reddish undertone even in warm tones, makes skin itchy, sits in the wrinkles when it used to smooth the skin. It is not anymore what it used to be...

Aww, thanks for continuing to give BareMinerals love. Not all of their products work for me (especially their lip and skincare products, unfortunately), but they have such a special place in my heart. It’s the first foundation I can ever remember buying, and it’s the only time I’ve been suckered into a late-night TV informercial. I bought the whole set! And then I remember my mom and sister bought it as well. I’ll never forget the first time I applied “Warmth.” I stood back and laughed because I looked like such a clown 😆 I still can’t wear bronzer on my skin tone. Now I LOVE their pressed powder foundation-I just wish they would stop reformulating it! I like it a lot more than their loose foundations because it doesn’t require all the buffing. And I love their loose powder eyeshadows. I wore the shade Celestine as a one-and-done every day for about a decade through college and grad school! I got so many compliments on it. I better find it in my stash or repurchase it this winter with the sales.

LOVED the brow powder. Wish they still had it. It was the bomb.

I love your Bare Minerals videos! You actually kept me from getting rid of my BM products. I'd seen quite a few videos with creators using the products and I would do what they did and I didn't like the results. (TBH their results weren't great, either.) Then, I found you and I watched soooo many of your Bare Minerals videos and now it's one of my favorite brands. The powder foundation looks amazing on me and so many of the old school products you talked about I hunted down... I'm 67 and when Bare Minerals was first launched I went to Sephora and had it applied to my face. I instantly liked the way it made my skin looked. At that time they had a limited shade selection but did offer a starter kit. I am interested in trying it again but don't know how well it would look on me now.

I’m 69, have normal to dry skin and it works great on me! I always apply a lightweight moisturizer first.

Love your video! I only use powder never liquid foundation.

Bare-minerals stopped selling starter kits 👀. Why would they do such a thing 🤷‍♀️. I bought one every year or so. They were a great value.

I used this for years, but the formula is different since Leslie sold it. All the undertones seem to run the same…it’s almost impossible to find a warm undertone now. I used Golden Dark since 2001, now all the dark and deeper shades all have a red undertone.

Shiseido really ruined BM…I used to wear the shade “light” and it was simply perfect, perfect tone, gentile on the skin, better skin in the long run. The new owner changed the formula, now the “light” is more red, it makes my skin itchy and look older, the warmth is more red as well, I have a tiny bit of a old one and it really was perfect. Mineral veil used to smonto the skin, it gave the skin a filter like effect, way before we even know what a filter is. Now it makes the skin looks older…The new mineral products really cannot compare to Leslie’s BM and it’s so so sad. I wish they decide to bring it back to the good old formulas…

What brush are you using for the bronzer? I have faux tan and I cannot for the life of me find a good brush lol

The last time I used BM I found the formula changed. It looked drying now and I follow instructions on application to a tee. Seems like it’s got a white cast to it. I even used primer and did skin prep.

Oh I remember hint!!! They still have it? I’m buying it! I remember I was pregnant with my son (who’s now 16 ) and I was walking around Sephora picking out the color “ hint” so I could l look and feel better:). Oh the memories 🥰❤️

I used BM for the last 10 years, now looking for the perfect foundation for the last 2 months and nothing… tried with most high end.. even Cle De Peau (138$) and nothing… I may have to just get back to my old BM that gives me the ideal coverage

It's so funny you put out a powder look, me--a cream girl, just bought 3 powder products from Jones Road. The Dusty Rose bronzer (been eyeing this forever as a cool toned person!) and 2 of her shimmer pressed shadows. Who am I? I'm still a single shadow stan though, one-n-done, I don't think that's gonna change for me!

Haven't used the original Bare Minerals in years! I loved it but does it still make skin oily after a few hours??

Mineral veil + setting spray should make it last all day

I am almost 45 years old and have never tried Bare Minerals. As someone with very dry skin I've been afraid it will just make my skin look even more dry. But I see how radiant it looks on you and I'm tempted to give it a try. Will the same techniques and products work with someone with very dry skin?

Hi there! We're happy to share that bareMinerals products are suitable for all skin types! For our beauties with dry skin, we recommend priming the face with Prime Time Hydrate & Glow Primer before beginning makeup application. 🤍

I used to love this powder foundation because the lightest color had a pearlescence, but the brush was like sandpaper & much wider than the one I see here... I liked the loose blush & eyeshadows too, but something happened to them because their quality dropped off. The only decent product that is still similar to original is Buxom's Dolly. But lord, I hated the bronzer... no one with a neutral base should ever use this, it's beyond unflattering 😢 Anyways, secret to the powder was freshy exfoliated skin... then further irritated by that brush, lol. Oh the memories...

Does buffing the power disturb your sunscreen?

Bismuth chloride. The matte version hasn't got that in so should be fine

I’m still mourning the discontinuation of “True” All-Over Face Powder - my perfect blush shade. I still have a tiny amount left that I save for special occasions. 🥹

I can’t believe you have used these for decades when you look about 12!

Okay, I bought the tinted moisturizer based on your recent post. It piled. I put on Chanel essence, Vit. C, then the tinted moisturizer. I did one side with fingers and the other side with a Chanel foundation brush (2-in-1 Foundation Brush Fluid and Powder N°1016. Sadly, the product piled on both sides. Testing it in Sephora, I did love the finish. My skin normally is dewy from Chanel skincare. Any suggestions on application? I need a product to tie me over as I wait for Chanel to release their reformulated CC Cream due back in January 2024. 🤔🙏🏼
