How to create MORE volume in hair with LESS damage // WORKS ON ANY LENGTH OR TEXTURE!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

How to create MORE hair volume with LESS damage is a skill not a dream! Huge thank you to @Laifentech for teaming up with me on this video! I'm going to share my step by step process that I've learned over the past 27 years as a hairstylist. This technique teaches multiple things:
How to create fullness in fine or thin hair. How to smooth hair. How to create volume in hair. How to create shine in hair. How to create thicker looking hair. This one technique is the foundation for ALL of those! In this video I will also talk about the big secret about blowdryers that no one is talking about and how the dryer and techniques you're using could causing as much, or more, damage than you realize. I'll be teaming up with @Laifentech to share how their Swift dryer helps to minimize the damage with a bunch of technology packed into a very affordable price. Here's the best part! The techniques I teach in this video will help you regardless of what blowdryer you're using, but when you mix them with a dryer like the Laifen swift, it simply amplifies the results. Make sure to check out the link below to learn more about one of my favorite dryers...the Laifen Swift

    I would love a video about how to maintain the volume and no frizz through the day. I had the most amazing blow wave at the salon the other day but even with all the products and a pro doing the work literally 10 minutes later my hair just seems flat and frizzy. Maybe this is a fine hair thing but a video on having good hair all day long (or at least a few hours) would be awesome!

Waiting on accessories as they were sold out in the USA but are being shipped from Asia. My hair looks (really shiny for over 50 hair) and incredibly soft. Cannot wait to use the diffuser!

    I will air dry my hair spread out on the pillow while I sleep. I have long hair And I dry climate, so I get myself into a very comfortable back sleeping position, and fan my hair out to sleep. I wake up with great volume. Maybe I have to tweak it just a little If I happen to eventually roll onto my side. This provides much more volume than if I just let it air dry with gravity pulling it down.

I had a total nightmare fail of a Balayage which led to a full color correction and I believe it destroyed my shaft 🫨 What's your best product(s) recommendation for after showering but prior to blow-drying? My hair gets weighed down and oily looking if it's too heavy, and certain heat protection sprays makes it look dirty! Should I focus on a deep conditioning mask/treatment every day? I use Aveda Air Control for styling because it's light and would love a protective product to work with it! Hope this makes sense 🤞

    Great question!! I love both, so definitely nothing against the Dyson. They are very similar. Basically, with the Laifen, you’re getting all the same tech, with a MUCH lower price tag. Either way though, you’re in good hands.

I’d never used it before and to be honest I didn’t really like it that much. The product I used for the final look in the end of the video Was from L’Oreal. Called extra whole moose. I like it but I’m still looking for my favorite volumizing aid. I actually have a video in mind for both finding the perfect product for adding volume as well as the perfect product for defining curls. I honestly don’t have my favorites for those two areas yet. OK, I have fine hair with absolutely no natural body, every woman's nightmare...lol! Add to that I seem to be challenged when it comes to coordination. I find it difficult to use a round brush and dryer at the same time. One side may come out OK but not so much the other. As a result a few years back I switched to a drying round brush and use on lowest setting. No always happy with results but better than manipulating both. Any suggestions?

  • @justinhickox

    @justinhickox

    You're definitely not alone. Using the round brush can be tough to get the hang of for sure. The round brush dryers are great options. I would recommend using the regular blowdryer to get your hair mainly dry, as I showed in the video, then switch to the dryer brush to replace to round brush. When using the dryer brush, I'd still use a higher heat since they aren't typically as concentrated airflow as the nozzle of a blowdryer than therefore a little less concern of excessive damage. I would use the dryer brush the same way I show in the video (move it constantly through the hair as apposed to holding it in one place like you'd use a hot curler). Hope that helps.
