Melissa (or anyone else with a practice hand using forms) wrap a small piece of packing tape around the finger tip above the nail. The forms stick better and stay in place and aren’t as likely to move on you. 💜

Thank you s much!! 🙏🏻😊💖 It’s really hard to apply gel as thin as gel. You can’t get the exact same dimensional effect in acrylic as you get in gel. The clarity is even slightly different. That design in acrylic is really pretty but next to shell… Hands-down gel is just gorgeous!!! Of course this is my opinion LOL!

Gorgeous!!! I love your work, the designs, the shaping, all of it. I'm a DIYer. Learned nails from a licensed friend when I was much much younger and in the last few years started doing my nails again. Your videos are so informative and I learn so much. The relaxed and easy going vibe in your tutorials encourages me to try different things and to trust the process and the nails will look pretty! Favorite nails ! ❤Melissa is the encapsulation Queen. I love how she can add funky fun designs with nude or solid colors that go with EVERYTHING. I love all the nails but I keep coming back to this “Milky Way” set!

I do really appreciate your skill level, your art is beautiful, you are enjoyable to watch, and it's a great accomplishment to represent a brand with tutorials. I might not like how a brand chooses to market, but I really have nothing but respect for your art and hustle.

Omg those r gorgeous!!! I wish I was that good. I'm still learning but u make it look easy lol! I will also say thank you!!! You gave me some ideas on how to fix some of the nails I was messing up on. Also it made me realize that it doesn't have to be perfect or a certain way n they turn out amazing! I have ocd really bad so I try to hard to perfect certain things and I end up screwing myself because it dries on the other spots before I can place it n make it flat. It also helped me see dif techniques. I was trying to use my glow in the dark powder for the whole tip instead of making the nail and then using the glow on top kinda thin and still have the same result. Way easier then to try to put two separate colors down as my base n build the nail with it! If that makes sense at all lol! Anyways thanks again for the awesome content. I love these videos. So inspiring!! Keep up the good work! Have a great day n I will c u in the next one!!!

That 150 file is worth every penny, and everyone needs one! Just have to make sure you use another file to file the edges of your 150, or it could cut you up. Once the edges are softened, you will end up using it for every set

Looks beautiful like that, but even more like a gem/crystal when you do the design on the first layer, so it's almost flat, then just fill out the nail with a good amount of clear gel, cure, then file shape without having to worry about doing layers or touching design, and you can make the nail a bit thinner. I've never really used acrylic, gel is best for clarity over top a design like this, but you can really cut your time down by forming the nail with polygel, polygel the sides to create a wall to stop gel spill over, then use clear gel just in middle over the design, cure, file. You get the dimension and depth, it's easier to form and faster, then the clear gel is like glass, plus gel and polygel is softer than acrylic so it's easier to file and quicker.

You could use any color and it looked dimensional! People were just asking if you could create the same dimensional look as I did on another tutorial for gel. That’s why I chose the darker color.
