Great video Adam! I have the Lag Shot training club and I love it. I've got a garage full of training aids, but this is hands down the BEST full swing training aid I own! Glad to see you're using it.

I can't begin to tell you how much your instruction has meant to me. I took up golf at age 62 (I am a lifelong athlete) and assumed that at that age I would not find much improvement. The last couple of years has been an eye-opening experience. Two years ago I shot a 79 and last year scored 78, 76, 76. Much of this improvement has been the result of an enormous amount of practice and professional tips, particularly the ones I've gotten from you. Many thanks!

I Finally discovered the beginnings of this my last time out and was comfortably under 90 for the first time in a while, I was confident of contact and distance and direction were much more consistent, easier too! This video was well timed for me as I can understand the effects of doing this, and now I have things to do so I can build on this.

Another informative video Adam. And a reminder, as I still struggle with too much grip pressure and not letting the club move freely. I believe it's more of a mental thing...fear of losing control of the club. Thanks again. Best Regards.

As usual Adam gives us something in small enough bites that we can can change our focus to build feel that really can't be done by the average golfer in the full swing. If you can't do it in a 50 yard shot, then there is no chance at a 200 yard shot.

Does the short weighted swing trainer work as well as a club. I have one and it really makes your hands turn at the bottom of the swing.

Adam I just bought thelag trainer clubs today. I tend to cast a bit with my driver particularly when into a lot of wind. I notice on video when I do that my right hip actually (unfortunately) at first moves to the RIGHT or away from the target which is horrible. I presume the lag trainer will force me to get my lower body moving first (to the left since I am right handed) if I use the trainer correctly?

Something I struggle with is to lock the wrists or cock them. So far it has been locked wrists. In doing so I feel I I am leaving yard-edge. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
@Scratchgolfacademy
Жыл бұрын
Hard to say without seeing you swing Brad, but if the wrists are too stiff you'll definitely lose speed. Best, Adam
When I hit my driver and want to hit it really far I always start using the arms to much instead of just turning the hips and letting the upper body follow. Do you have any tips? great vids btw, they really helped me out so far :)

Thanks. There are a number of flexible shafted training clubs over the years, the concept is a good one. All the best, Adam
Where does the snap at the bottom of the swing come from...extending the right wrist??? ...or just continuing to move the hands through impact???
@Scratchgolfacademy
4 жыл бұрын
Albert, Ultimately the preceding segments (hips, trunk, arms) decelerate transferring energy to the club through the wrists. Think of slamming on the breaks in a car, the passengers (club) accelerate forward. Hope this helps. Best, Adam
Also Adam are you going to do a video with the driver trainer?

It's easier to create power, and st stabilize the club shaft through impact. There have been a few good cross handed players, but not many Best, Adam

Oh, not sure why, but thanks for the note. All the best, Adam
I saw you in a leaflet at my golf club 😲
Sorry but I totally disagree with lag. I cock the wrists with the main focus on the right wrist. I uncock the wrists with main focus on right wrist and hitting with the right hand. Controlling and hitting with right hand. I am a 2 handicap and commonly hit 16 greens in regulation. I recommend the main focus on release and getting rid of angle. Full extension at the time of impact.
@Scratchgolfacademy
3 жыл бұрын
Rich, I've taught golf for 35 years, so I've seen a lot of people struggle with the game. Some people do need to focus on 'getting rid of the angle' but only a small percentage, and almost invariably they are low handicappers or pros. Different pros even have different key's, or feels (Johnny Miller said he felt it all in the left hand, Hogan said he felt that he lashes his right hand........they look about the same on film). It's a game where each individual needs to work on what THEY need to work on, and find a way to feel that for themselves. All the best, Adam
Gain Max leverage.. not wrist to clubhead. Think about how to cast a fishing rod
Definition of Lag is not that... If the coupling point to the clubhead bend.. Think about it.
