How to Create Guilloche Pattern Shapes in Illustrator.
In today's tutorial we're looking at creating Guilloche effects in Illustrator. A Guilloche effect is often done as an engraving, a series of repeated lines slightly off-set from each other. You can create some really interesting patters using Guilloche effects. Let's begin!

    Thank you very much for this comprehensive tutorial! I have a question I can't figure out. I'd like to make a guilloche with all open areas (not only the background) dropping out to white so it can appear, warped and overlapping with a second white guilloche, on a dark blue background. Is this possible? Thank you in advance.

    @@DesignCuts Thank you for replying so quickly. I'm trying to mimic a fishnet pattern that's pulled in a few directions (like on the front of a U.S. dollar bill), but I've followed your instructions and don't think it's possible to approximate that with the method demonstrated. So I either need to find a different technique or give up on that idea. (Death by guilloche). How do I upload a screenshot? (I'm so glad to have found your channel! Looking forward to going through your many tutorials.) Thanks.
