How To Create Detailed VINTAGE Text Effects The EASY Way!

Detailed vintage lettering is one of the coolest text effects you can make! Originally these kinds of embellished titles were drawn by hand as the cover art for old insurance maps from the likes of the Sanborn map company. Painstakingly illustrating artwork like this by hand is a dying art form that would have taken years of training to become a master of penmanship, but we can easily make similar text styles with digital tools. Follow along with this tutorial to create detailed vintage text effects the easy way with the powerful tools available in Kittl.

Learning to be an artist again has been one of the most challenging things I have ever faced. After losing my soul of creating for many reasons, I have slowly been picking up again the art, learning how to find the connection, the inner part of expressing the vision, feelings, motivation, and perspective of the world around me. Your video has helped me to see the world in a more vibrant and positive motivation. Thank you so much for creating and making this video. All the best to you :)

While I do understand that the whole video is a sponsored ad, I think Kittl would be a great tool if they allowed importing files and added some tools, it could be a good program dedicated only for lettering and typography.

Perfect, revealing an online application that will help remove work from professional designers. It's bad enough finding work as a designer and clients, who were missing this kind of thing. 😡

Something similar said the guy who was selling blocks of ice house by house when the refrigerator was invented, right? We need to evolve. If it's not an online tool, it will be some AI around the corner.

@@NoVegan I don't know if you are a designer or not. If you aren't, I can understand that you defend this type of websites and applications where anyone can make a design with 4 easy steps. Now, if you are a professional graphic designer, it would be stupid to defend that, since they are tools created for all types of users, with the consequent decrease in clients for professional designers, design agencies, etc., that we see our possibilities reduced to carry out our work (and to earn money to be able to live).

I'm going to assume we are still talking about this new tool, not about AI stuff. What happened when the factories started to be a thing and what happen with the artisans? What happened when in the 20th Century the machinery was improved and workers were reduced? What happened when Netflix appeared and made easy to rent a movie rather than going to a videoclub? People on these jobs evolved, found new jobs, fixing the machines, opening new stores or offering the same product from a different approach. You are sad because you have seen a tool that makes easy to reproduce with "3 steps" something than in illustrator takes some hours. What is the problem? Do you see your customers taking work from you? Let them try, I'm sure more than 90% will come back to you later. If not, you can still offer them something that differs and makes the difference from these tools. I'm giving you an example: I used to create vintage signs for shops with wood, paint and brushes. Then at some point in the 2000's the wide printing machines came and made all this work obsolete. We bought a wide printing machine and we were creating signs using Corel and Illustrator and printing the stuff on vinyl, because everybody else was doing it with a lower cost. Then I learn how to become better as personal hobby on the crafted signs and now I work exclusively doing this stuff for several brands in my country. It's not easy and it's not cheap but it's unique and top quality and people pay for that. So I have adapted. And I also learn that the world keeps spinning and that if you don't like it, good luck with that. So you have the chance now to start using this tool, see what is the differences from the manual work or the way you create your own stuff (probably it has your own style and this is something that tool is not replicating) and then become better and look for your own customers. Otherwise you are doomed. And I'm not even talking about AI here.

@@NoVegan You got lucky. Perhaps I have not had the same opportunities, and here in Spain design is not given the importance that it should be. Most companies barely invest in it, and many prefer to do it themselves or anyone who knows a little Photoshop. And that is why these types of tools that make it so easy for someone with hardly any knowledge to design a logo, a t-shirt, a poster or an advertising piece with pre-designed templates, is something that worries me in the face of the profession, which is already badly damaged Everyone has their point of view.
