I never thought that I can make my own timer in canva as well. Coz what I'm using as a timer, is a downloaded timer video here on youtube. Then I simply cutthe video for lesser time, if needed. Lol This is still a great help even I have limited access to canva.

Hey wow this video was so helpful!!! I have made one in no time - however I wanted to do a 15min timer but the bulk section wouldn't let me do more than 300 lines...I have tried uploading in in multiple sections, the following sections half worked then proceeded to open about 200 browser tabs for each of the seconds....do you have any ideas to get around this and make a longer 15min timer? Many thanks in advance...im going to persist in trying to make it work :)

Making is simple. Just break it in bits. 1-5, 5-10, etc then export and merge everything together with either canva or any video editor of your choice that way you’d have it run from 0-15

I'd also love to know how to do the setting in Google Sheets to have my 5.00 actually show the time with the zeros. None of the options under "format" allows me to just have the 5.00 to start my five minutes and then to select and drag it down in time format... any ideas?

I love this video! Exactly what I was looking for. However I notice that for a a timer that needs to be 10 minutes it does not do it all the way. It stops at 5:00 I imagine Canva has a max of 300 generated slides. How can we bypass this?

Hi, I tried to do the timer according to you, but I don't want to mass create it at all when I do it in video format. It works for me only when I do it in the format of a fb post, i.e. a static image. Where am I doing wrong please? I uploaded data - time from google sheet and also from microsoft tables. In the right format. And I also tried to put the times there manually. I can't do anything. Canva tells me that my designs have not been built. Thank you for the advice. Vladi

Thanks for watching the tutorial. Your question is not quite clear but did you create a video file? That is, a blank video? The timer I did can work on all platforms including Facebook so you really don't have to use a separate template for it.

Using pro version, cannot import csv file - this is what Canva says, "I'm sorry for any confusion, but currently Canva doesn't support the direct upload of CSV files. However, you can use data from your CSV in a more manual way. For example, you could open your CSV file in a spreadsheet program like Excel, copy the data you need, and then paste it into text elements in your Canva design. I hope this helps!"

It seems that the "Bulk Create" option in Canva Pro has magically disappeared since this video. Someone else also noted that Canva wouldn't allow .CSV file uploads. Would you make an updated tutorial on how to still make a timer (if possible)?

Just do it in batches. I think I mentioned it in the video. You do it in batches then merge all. That is 1-5mins,6-10mins, etc

Hi Melanie. I have the same issue, it works fine inside Canva, but after downloading the project as an MP4 video file, the revolving circle animation restarts every second (page). I would like to have seen the MP4 video download version, just to verify that everything is working the same as it is inside Canva. I have contacted Canva support and if they have a solution, I will reply here.

Canva support have responded and they have said that it will not work because each page is considered to be a separate scene, this is why the animation glitches / restarts at the beginning of every page. The workaround they offered was to save the timer text only as a video file, upload it to Canva, then use the video background erase tool. They suggested overlaying the timer text on top of the circle animation etc within a single page. The problem with that method is that it yields a very poor quality timer text. I have tried a few different workarounds, but without success. During my attempts at working around this problem, I have encountered some new, serious issues within Canva relating to audio syncing etc, they are working on it now. I'll keep you posted.
