How to create beautiful, seahorse design, oyster shells.

One of my favorite things to make and one of my big sellers at summer shows. Craft this pretty seahorse shell with an oyster shell, napkin, paint and mode lodge. You can order the small kit which only includes an oyster shell and two sheets of the tissue paper with the design in this tutorial. Just pay $2 plus shipping in the US.
Or make your own design with any printed napkin and shell.
For this project you will need:
Shells
modge podge (glossy)
white paint
turquoise (or in that color family) paint
paint brushes (a larger one like in the video & a smaller one)
printed tissue paper or napkin
scissors

It's so cute and pretty. I've just started decoupaging shells, but the napkin has got a lot of wrinkles in it. How do I stop that, please?

Hi and thx for watching. That is always a challenge with smoothing out the wrinkles. Just make sure you’re not using too much modge podge (or the like) and make sure you’re using saran wrap or some other plastic to smooth it out. Tapping also helps. Good luck!

@thesaltyspirit3088 I think I know where I was going wrong. I was putting a layer of glue on without letting the napkin dry first. I've just done one, and it looks a lot better. Thank you for the tips. Will try them too 😊
