Is there any flexibility in the barcode number? In other words, can it be the same as the SKU (assuming the SKU is numeric only) by just duplicating the SKU number into the Barcode field. Or do you have to accept what the app generates?

When will Shopify Shipping in the UK have more carriers like Royal mail, DPD, ParcelForce, DHL, UK MAIL, YODEL, UPS, FEDEX ETC? Right now there is only HERMES. Please Respond ASAP.

Can you make this to print the shipping label using the order number? I’m a demand print phone case shop it will be nice. Place the barco in the back of the case and once it goes to the all step scan and get the shipping label at packing time.

Hello! The Retail Barcode Labels app is specifically for printing barcode labels. To print shipping labels, you can use Shopify Shipping to purchase and print directly from the admin if your store is based in the United States, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom, bit.ly/3qnZ2Bz. In regions that aren't currently supported by Shopify Shipping, you can use a third-party app to help you print labels, bit.ly/3krkjpY. Where is your store based?

What about a Munbyn label writer? They say they are compatible with Shopify, but I didn't see the brand mentioned.

I am not familiar with Munbyn, however, after a quick Google search it looks like they may have a solution on their site here: bit.ly/3qA3X2e. It may not hurt to reach out to their support directly for some more information on how it works!

I created barcodes for my products but they’re not showing. Do I have to wait or it just doesn’t work.

What if you choose a compatible printer but the labels you chose aren’t on the list? Then it won’t work??

it shows everything on the label except for the PRICE! the currency is VNĐ. Any advice on this? or this app just don't support Vietnam currency?

Can we print these on our packaging and use this barcodes world wide for our in physical stores other thn online website like gs1 barcodes?

What if you want to print labels for items you don’t have online yet/ in your shopify?

Hi! The products do need to be added to your Shopify admin, but they do not need to be published online or on any other sales channels in order to create and print barcode labels. When adding a new product, you can leave the inventory at 0 and you'll also have the option to "deselect all" sales channels in the product availability details: bit.ly/392v8GY. This way, you can print bardcode labels without customers seeing the product until you're ready to publish it.

@@ShopifyHelpCenter the link takes me to a page that lists the Brother QL-1100 printer as one that is compatible. However, just below that is a list of labels that can be used for each brand of compatible printer type (i.e. Dymo, Zebra), but the Brother QL is not included in that list. When I open the Retail Barcode Lables app, the Brother QL is not listed in the 'make a template' area. Is the Brother QL-1100 no longer considered compatible?

I'm having trouble printing my barcodes from Google Sheets. All the barcodes with sku number below are in Column B. I just want to print this column only, not A. I'm trying to use 2.25" x 1.25" Roll labels in my Zebra ZP450 Thermal Printer. Nothing seems to work on getting them printed.

Hey there. If you would like to add bar codes to your products, you will need to add the Shopify application "Retail Bar Code" to your store: bit.ly/3kCuLKH. Once you have successfully added the application, you can then navigate to the "Apps" section in your Shopify admin. You should see the applications listed and selecting that will allow you to create bar codes for you products. Let us know if you have any additional questions.

Hi Shopify, this is a problem with some of my clients, they wanted to use the product name but shopify product names are too long. Is there a way to have a name for barcode that is a shortened product name?

So when I launch my shop, first I need to add my product listing in my shopify page with how many products I have in how many variants. Then I can download the barcode app and create them from there. But after that do I need to scan the bar codes I’ve just printed in the shopify app with a scanner once I’m done printing them? Or are they already in the shopify system.

Hi Sarah, once you create the barcode it is connected to those specific products and when scanned it will automatically pull up whatever product/variant it is tied to. -Shay

this doesn't work if you have a sticker size that's not in the custom sizes and most of them do not work with a heat transfer printer. Pretty useless for most people

Not a good app, and does does not support my currency PKR

Better if you had demonstrated how to do things rather than show the things to do.

the video did not tell if the sku and barcode in my products should be the same or not. I got confuse when the barcode generated by the app is different from barcode i predefined from my products. can someone xplain this to me.

Understanding the relationship between SKUs (Stock Keeping Units) and barcodes can indeed be confusing, especially when managing inventory through different systems or apps. SKUs: Customizable alphanumeric codes created by the retailer. Barcodes: Standardized numeric codes (UPC, EAN) generated according to global standards.

I’ve been wanting to get a label printer for my small business for the longest time and finally pulled the trigger. I’m glad I did ! This machine is great kzread.infoUgkxw55tQTywUAAOsbrlwxONZULry77sFF1Q and the blue/green color matches the rest of the accents in my office. My favorite part is how small the footprint is. It’s less than 1/4 the size of my regular printer.Set up was fairly easy. Seller will email you a link with video instructions Which I found to be more helpful than the written instructions. I use a Mac and had no issues. They even included an adaptor for USB to USB-c which is great because I’m always losing mine! I had a few issues getting the labels to print properly and wasted quite a few sheets. You need to play around with the settings to get everything adjusted just right. If you have the wrong settings, it’ll crop off the edges or feed through blank labels. These aren’t issues with the machine though, just user error.

All the information that's displayed on the UPC, style, color, are those the information thats on product when you created the product description? What about the number under the barcode? Is that auto generated?
