How to Create an Online Course for Beginners 2021 (Step by Step)

In this video, I will show you how to create an online course that sells! This is a beginner's guide and I will take you step by step through the process of creating your first course. I am a HUGE believer in online courses, and it is a growing industry with so much potential to make passive income. Make sure to watch all the way through as these are the things I wish I knew before creating my first course.
Kajabi free trial:
bit.ly/kajabistartnow
^This is the platform I use. It is AMAZING and I am so glad I went with Kajabi to host my course and handle my marketing. You can get a free trial using this link!!
Thinkific free trial:
bit.ly/thinkific30days
I will take you through the most important steps when it comes to making an online course. These things will ensure that your course sells well on launch day and continually gets more and more students. The last thing you want is to spend a lot of time creating a course that no one knows about. Therefore, marketing is key. The way you outline your course and create the videos is also extremely important and I'll show you how I made my own course.
I encourage anyone that wants to get into online education to try making a course. You do not need a social media presence - there are many ways to sell using landing pages, ads, webinars, and more. I am positive that the online education industry is still at its infancy and it has a lot of room to grow.
Check out my KZread Academy if you want to take a look at my landing page:

Thank you for watching, and good luck on your course!!!!!!!! I want everyone to succeed and change lives with their courses.

Charlie, great video. I have an existing library of content I am uploading to KZread to serve as a kind of reference library for additional information These are long form videos (40 - 50) minutes that I am editing into 5-6 minute segments. I was thinking about using those existing videos either as part of an online course (each segment a chapter in the course) or simply using the existing content as additional reference material and making new material for the content. What do you think about these ideas? I have a good HD video camera, a Zoom H5 Recorder, XSplit Broadcaster and XSplit VCam, and Vegas Pro 18 for video editing. I'm learning how to make courses and I agree with you about using slides, but I also like the concept of myself in the corner of the videos. I suppose with XSplit Broadcaster, I could make scenes where I use the existing 5-6 minute video segments and then add to that on camera and with additional slides. I'm just bouncing ideas around here and would like your feedback. Also, I'm thinking about a Patreon membership page for my courses as well. Do you have any knowledge or experience with Patreon and using it with a course hosting application like Kajabi?

The info in my head is bursting at the seams , just struggling with the technical steps like using "Power Point for slidedeck, creating the Lead, landing and personal FB pages and then "how/where" to store all of this info. .I'll get there and found your "How to Create an Online Course for Beginners" very informative. Hello i have heard different answers for the title in your lectures so i thought id ask you. For your title lectures in your presentation, do you have to put a period if you have a heading after your title? For example your lecture is called Social Media then just below the Social Media heading you have a name of that module or video. Something like, The do's and don't s of Instagram stories so should you put a period after the word stories?

It really depends upon you and how much time you have to commit to creating, filming and uploading the content for your course. I created my first course in just a couple weeks but that's bc I'm a KZreadr and professor so it was easy for me to create due to experience.

I guess they could but that would be copyright infringement, plus the course won't sell without any marketing

@@CharlieChang because most courses out there are pretty much the same, I’ve spent a lot of money on courses and they all teach the same thing 🤔
