Hi Randy! Thanks a lot for all those great videos. I noticed that, generally, you organize your database using named ranges. However, this time, you have placed the database in an Excel table format. Could you explain the reasoning behind this change? What are the advantages and disadvantages of using an Excel table compared to named ranges?

Hi Patrice, great question. When I create dashboards or have to use the data in many calculations, I tend to use tables. I still don't love them and often find them restrictive, however there are some advantages with using them. Of course, if I'm going to use Pivot Charts or tables I will create Excel tables. Thanks again for your great observation and question.

Hi and thanks so much for your comment. I want to make sure all of the templates that I create are backwards compatible and work with nearly any version of Excel from the last 20 years. This is the reason I tend to stay away from the newest features. Many followers and viewers still use older versions of Excel. I hope this helps and thanks so much.

In the (Income _Expence_Budget.XLSM file)the Add/Edit Transactions form Field3 and Field4 do not have any drop down values? Also I use Excel 2021 and I do not have a form option in VBA, what version of Excel do you use? Your videos are very enjoyable and educational, Thanks

Hi Bob, thanks for your comment. I am using Excel 365, however I can assure you that this will work on any version of a Excel for Windows. If you are using a Mac, this could be the issue, as Mac's are extremely limited when it comes to Excel. I do recommend using Parallels www.excelforfreelancers.com/go/rwm-parallels-YTDesc This will allow you to use Windows inside of a Mac. I hope this helps and thanks so much.
