I am using Acrobat Pro DC in the video but it will work with any version Acrobat Professional. You need to be able to create fields and page templates.

Can you have more than one stamp file using the same stamp category, or do all stamps in the category have to reside in the same file? If it's just a matter of having unique StampIDs, can you pull all custom stamps into the same file and category and manually assign unique IDs?

Yes, you can have multiple stamp files with the same category. If you use the Adobe UI to create the stamp you will have to first remove any files with that category because Adobe will add it to an existing file.

Is there a way to create a stamp with fillable field text ? For exemple, you use the stamp you've created but instead of just red lines beside the labels, it would be a clickable box that could be filled? (sorry for my bad english and thank you for the video!)

Are you able to show me how to locate the stamps folder? Not sure how I find your turtorial on this. I was good with the static stanp turtorial until it came to the part about saving to the stamps folder. You made a shorcut. If you could privde a link that would be awesme!

HI, Some commands are not working. Text box is still editable. How to disable this text box. Crop command is also not there in my PDF. How to save only cropped area as a pdf?

Please pay close attention to details, including case sensitivity in the scripts.

I can do everything up until the PAS_Demo my stamp tool doesn't show this option I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro. Do you know where I can find it on this version?

PAS_Demo is a stamp category. It is just an example. You wouldn't have it unless you have created that category.

How can I change the name of my stamp, ie. what stamp name shows up in my stamp drop down?

Starting at 7:10 in the video I explain how to name the stamp. The name that shows up in the stamp menu is whatever is after the = sign starting at 8:10.

Whenever I go to flatten my page, the text disappears but the box and lines stay.... How can I fix that?

I have 2 questions: when I import a stamp from a PNG, it changes the size when I want to use it. Sure, I can adjust the size but I want the right size right away and not chance it at all. The stamp shall always has the same size. Why does my program oversizes it? And secondly: how could you make the background of your stamp transparent? What if you don't stamp white sheets but colored ones? then you will always get the white background behind your stamp.

For the .png image, create the stamp, stamp a blank page with that stamp, resize the stamp to the size you want, then use that page to create another stamp. It will be the right size. If you use a transparent image to create a stamp the stamp will be transparent. The stamp in the video above is transparent. Notice no fill color at 1:47 of the video.

at 3.44 after I run the flattenPages() code, all of my labels for my text boxes disappear. Can I get them back or do I need to start over again?

Flattening turns fields into static images. You can't reverse this process. The only thing you can do is close without saving and reopen - assuming your have the document saved up to that point.

i can do everything but finally my stamp is not in "My Stamp Category" but it is in the dynamic category , Could you pls suggest TT

Go to 1:46 of the video and change the fill color in the properties to white.

You have to create a shortcut to the folder and put it on your desktop by right-clicking the folder and selecting "Create Shortcut".

My Fault. Sorry

Hi, I know this video has been up for awhile but hoping someone sees this and can help. I followed all of this exactly but after I go to properties and make the title the name of the category I want the stamp saved in (my example: Received Stamp Category), then save the document, it changes the name to Received Stamp Category (what I just named the title) and it doesn't show as a stamp in my categories on other documents.

I'm not sure I understand. The title of the stamp *IS* the category under the stamp menu. If your title is "Received Stamp Category", then that should be the category in the stamp menu. You have to restart Adobe, with the stamp file in the stamps folder, before you can see the new category in the stamps menu.

Can this be done on any licence? Our did U need Pro?

You need Pro to do most of the things in this video that show how to build the stamp from scratch. If you have an image already you can make a static stamp in Reader by using the stamp menu under Custom Stamps > Create.

I tried to follow this instruction in PowerPDF and I cannot make page templates (i.e., I could not save the PDF as a page template.) Is there a way around this?

This tutorial is for Acrobat Pro to teach all the elements of a PDF stamp that will be used with Adobe PDF viewers. It is not suitable for any non-Adobe PDF programs as most of them do not use templates for stamps, and most allow only one page per stamp without any categories. The categories come from the PDF title so you can stack multiple stamps into the same category using the same PDF. I am not familiar with PowerPDF but I suspect this is the case.

When I flatten page like you did my text boxes disappeared and I was only left with the blank rectangle

You have to exit field editing mode before you flatten.

@@PDFAutomationStation I am having the same issue and am not in field editing mode and it still blanks it all out? I ctrl_shift_7 out of editing and then when I type the code to flatten, all my text disappears. Using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (32-bit)

I figured it out. When I looked at the properties of my rectangle shape it had the fill set to WHITE instead of NO FILL.

It doesn't work for me either. When I try and run the first code (from my laptop) and hit the enter key nothing happens

The regular Enter key acts a line return the same as when you are typing. You must press the Enter on your number keypad. If you don't have a number keypad on your keyboard you must press Ctrl + Enter to run the code. If you are running those 2 lines of code it should do something. I hope this helps.
