How to Create a DMR Code Plug: Anytone 878UV BTECH DMR 6x2 and MORE

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Today we take a look at how to make your first DMR code plug. You don't need to get a sample and modify, just make your own. It isn't nearly as difficult as many people think. Some CPS software will look differently, but poke around and you will find the same settings in there.

    Thank you sir for this video! Just bought the Anytone 878UV and have only one DMR repeater in the area. I thought I would use this as my main UHF/VHF and DMR radio! Got the radio and enrolled in the BridgeComU. Well it really seems to me that BridgeCom would have liked me to purchase the plug and play system. Well I wanted to try this out first before I invest in more hardware. After watching some of the videos they really don't start you out at step one and being a noob at this it was getting more confusing. Now your video has brought a lot to light. Thank you. I will proceed as follows..... DMR group repeater..... and Analog channels i'll set up my zones for different areas. Thank you again!

    @@K5ATA Thanks yeah I am finding that and unfortunately not all repeaters are very good at publishing their information. I did find in my area that the PAPA network of repeaters is very good at publishing that. Can't wait for the day the repeaters provide that information to repeater book.

    Same as Ben Reeve. I got my Tech a couple weeks ago. Still haven’t tx’d anyone... this video has been very helpful. More so than Bridgecom, but I’m still confused by frequency offset entry for digital (and analog)..as to where it goes or if it even matters for digital. Sorry if that’s a dumb question, but I don’t know any HAM operators here due to the virus and the lockdowns, protests, etc. 73 HN6JVL

  • @K5ATA

    @K5ATA

    The offset will depend on the offset for the repeater you are using. For example, here in the US, the standard 2m repeater offset is .600 So, if the repeater transmits at 146.61 and it has a negative offset, I would set my radio to receive at 146.61 but to transmit at 146.01. If you are using a hotspot, it can be simplex and you have no offset. Does that help?

    Thanks. I woke up this morning after being stressed about trying to get my 878 working, and realized it truly was a stupid question as the RX freq and RX freq is entered separately. Light bulb over head. Thank you for the quick response and not telling me I’m stupid. Haha. Thanks again for the video. 73

    I have my radio for months. Program it over and over but can't get DMR to work. Repeater is listed as DMR so I program it in. It doesn't work. It is only a mile from me but I can't get it to work. Then I find out that there is more than one DMR! I don't know if the local repeater is DMR really D-Star, System Fusion, Brandmeister, or what ever! Am I programming something wrong, the repeater is not the type of DMR that I am set up for!

  • @K5ATA

    DMR is different than DSTAR and Fusion. You need to know what digital voice type the repeater is, then make sure you have the appropriate radio. If you want to give me the repeater info, I will check into it for you. 73 and thanks for watching!

    I can not get the radio to talk to the computer. I plug in the cable and the computer does see it, but not the radio. If I plug in the cable alone I get USB com 3. I also get the same thing if the radio is attached. I tried several different combos radio on/off etc. but nothing seem to work. I tried several different cables and drivers but nothing seems to work. Keyboard is locked on the radio.

    @@K5ATA Yes, but I've even downgraded and it wont read or write any code I try. It does write the firmware fine, just wont read or write when using a code. I've tried my pc and my laptop, uninstalled the driver and installed. I've also exported the code plug as a list and each as a cvs file and imported back to the cps and still will not write. I'm ordering a new cable but dont think that should change anything because it writes the firmware fine. Im at a loss
