    Very very helpful. Probably one of the best training videos be seen. As a disabled vet fixing to start life on a very small fixed income some friends recommended I start to enjoy my hobby of woodworking (with toys for my grand kids and such) and expand into making patriotic things for fellow service members and vets (my son has been in 10 years and 5th generation navy so hopefully he’s a good salesman lol). With the exception of material and a little for overhead I’m hoping I can make the bills and instill a little honor and patriotism back into this great land of ours. Just learning but you have helped me tremendously with your instructions. I hope I’m able to pass it on to those I’m able to creat something for. Again. This Texan and Navy vet tips his hat to you sir. Wish I could do more, and perhaps I can someday. Thank you.

    Excellent training video! The ever-popular waving flag is a great subject for learning Aspire. Learned about a million and six new tools and ways to use them. You did a super job of showing the tools as you used them. Keep telling us noobs every key that you're touching, even the basic and obvious ones. Very good instruction - many thanks from your newest subscriber!

    Great video. There's a lot to digest in this and it is pretty straight forward. I haven't gotten all the way thru the training yet, but one issue came up I was having a problem with around the 20 minute mark. In doing the baking of the duplicated level at that point, my version of Aspire 10 you can't bake a grouped set of components. They have to be ungrouped and I found that if you hold the Crtl key when baking it creates a level of unbaked components automatically. I was trying hard to see what you had done and I reverted to searching for the reason I couldn't get this to work right. At any rate, you have done a great job of providing instructions that make using.

    I have a simple question concerning milling. If I am cutting with Inside Left does the 0,0,0 datum preserve the offset of the bit diam or is the 0,0,0 position dead center of the bit and then when routing the offset then takes effect? A simpler execution statement would be: bit starts out dead center on datum point then offset takes effect when cutting. I need a precision cut done but am not sure how the cutting offset is put in place. Trying not to waste material. Thanks.

    I am using the trial Aspire download to see if I can do this. I was tracking with you all the way until you got to "Lets add a wave" and you selected a drop down from the top screen of your 2D called stars stripes 2 (at around 22:00 in the video.) My question is do the ripple waves 1, 2, 3, and 4 come with the Aspire software or are those features you previously created. I don't know if those features are missing because I am using a trial Aspire or if those are your personal creations. Please advise, thanks!

    The drop down menu with that you saw the top of the screen is the layers menu and in the layers menu is where you can store or place vectors that you've created the separate parts of your design this is not a feature or a program within the aspire trial or full version this is something that you would actually create within the aspirethe vectors for the Stars and stripes as well as the two rail sweep for the waves all of those were created using the drawing tools in the cad side of the software

    This is a great video and so helpful and inspiring to do different things BUT you missed 1 huge step that I can not get passed. I noticed it has happened on your project as well but you skipped it. At time 20:42 exactly when you baked the project it inverted it WHY????? and how do you get out of it??? The next sec you had already fixed the issue and moved on UPDATE: I did wind up fixing this but I am a little confused as to why it did what it did. Some how it took the last in the components and used it (stripes) as the baked properties and it named the file that. Very confusing. This is still a very helpful vid!!! Keep going we need you!!

  • @SpindleTV

    To create a model it requires Aspire. VCarve Pro does not have the modeling tools required. Depending on the Feed and speed settings of the tool, this project to take 6 + hours

    Great video. I am brand new so bare with me on this comment. I believe the inner radius percentage should be 38 and not 40. If you zoom way in on the star the star is not perfectly flat across it has a very slight wave in the line. Very minor and I am not sure yet if it will show on the carve.

  • @SpindleTV

    @SpindleTV

    11 ай бұрын

    Actually the inner percentage radius, should be 38.2 for a constitutional star, you are right it is supposed to be straight across. I had made this tutorial before I knew that fun fact.

  • @SpindleTV

    They are created by using the two rail sweep tool to create the rippled flag component and the waves based off the drive rails you draw and the profile of the ripple or wave you would create
