GREAT FREAKING VIDEO!!!!! No bs, no longwinded history, just the info we came for with some examples.
This was so helpful! I am a novice and just do little projects for myself. I don’t have a lot of fancy tools and don’t build enough things to warrant buying some of these things. But you show me how to totally make this work, thank you!
You should always drill a pilot hole regardless of wood. Minute cracks expand with time, moisture, weather, mold, etc. Why have one? No cracks. Excellent video. No BS intro, no music, to the point, great visuals, what joy! Very useful info. I have these but forgot how to use them. Thank you for a great demo! Subscribed.
I love how you stick to the basics, cut to the meat, and don’t don’t have any gimmicks to this video. Super helpful and definitely will continue to follow your clips!
Glad to see someone who takes the time to instruct viewers on the basics. Love seeing redo projects, building projects, but seeing things like how to countersink screws is something us novices need to know. Great job. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe.

Thank you! I'm doing a project where I need to countersink into cherry wood. You are clear, concise, and easy to understand.
Ny dad bought me a set of these. Ryobi brand cause that's all they had. I told him every time I build something out of wood, it splits on me all the time. Thank you so much for the well detailed video! I have confidence that these bits will help me immensely.

Awesome! I hope the video helps out!
Thanks for the video, I've been doing different construction projects with my dad for ages, but I never really learned finer techniques to improve my skills. I decided to restore an old machete my father's had for years as a gift. Sanded it, and the handle was dry rotted so I'll be making a new one using this to keep the bolts hidden.
That was great ! I really appreciate your time and advice ! I’m not a novice just lazy to some of the finer points of woodworking … ‘close enough is good enough’ 🙄 But now that I’m retired and attempting to complete various projects, I would like the finish project to look more presentable. And your video has gone a long way in helping me raise my standards 👍
You saved my squirrels with this video! I’m hanging cabins on trees for them, and the one I did yesterday I had to put tape over non-countersunk screws. Thanks to you I’ll get it right today. Thank you!!!
Thanks for the video, precise and to the point, no silly music or constant asks for "likes" and "subscribes". In the end, I liked AND subscribed!
Thank you so much for educating me on counter sinking screws. I’m grateful for you and that you posted this video

Thanks for this video. I bought a large Dewalt bit set more than 20 years ago. I still have them. I don't use them often. It has countersink bits in it. I never touched them. I didn't know what they were for. I didn't even know what they were called. Now I know.
Very clear and complete explanation. Thanks!
This explained some things I had been curious about. Thank you for making such a easy to follow tutorial!
Thankyou. I"m a novice on a learning curve using power tools. Have countersink bits but wasn't sure how to use correctly. And using the larger drill bit is so logic, but l never thought of it.
Thank you so much for this! It was really helpful for newbies like myself! 😁😊
Very helpful! Thank you for all the different options.
Man!!! This was so helpful. I’ve been wanting to get into woodworking and have been watching a lot of videos and I have yet to see anyone go into the foundations of woodworking. TYSM!

Thank you very much for taking the time to explain. To the point, clear and I learned how to do it. ✌🏼
Perfect instructions! Can’t wait to try it. Many thanks! 🛠
So helpful! When you just brought out the larger bit as an alternative, I thought “🤦🏼♀️ why didn’t I think of that?!” I’ll be fixing some very unprofessional-looking drawer fronts. Thank you!
Thanks... beginner here... directions are simple and clear ... easy to follow... now I'll practice ...👍🏻

Thanks man I was trying to explain this, but showing them this made it simple .👍
This video was awesome. Thank you.
Very helpful, thanks
The best explanation! Thank you,😊
Very thorough. Thank you 🙏🏼
Thank you for this video! I never would have thought to check if the screw head would fit BEFORE you screw the actual screw in..hahaha! This video is probably very elementary wood shop education, but for those of us who never had that training…thank you.
Thank you for sharing this. Cheers!
There is much more to counter sinking. There are better bits to use, and also ways to avoid tear out. Keep looking at other videos. I'm not in a position to make a channel yet but one day I will. This video would be considered, very basic and not advanced. It is much appreciated though. I will give one tip though. Clamp your work down and make several tests on scrap the same you are using for your nice project. Repeat and practice 3 or 4 times befor drilling into the real thing. Some bits will really bore in fast and you'll drill to China. Do t forget to set your cluch while doing your tests and consider using a hand screwdriver for the final screwing. You won't regret it!
Thank you. This was very helpful!
Perfect now I know what the meaning and what it does, keep up the good work !
Thank you easy to understand the way you describe this
Great video on how to counter sink screws and I subscribed to your channel, thank you.
Very useful video, Thank You ! ! !
Very helpful. Thank you!
THANK YOU! I didn’t even know those bits existed! I had this over sized headboard project that I did with MDF & the struggle was real to countersink, let me tell you. Ugh

Great video! Thanks.
Thanks buddy! It helped.
Super helpful! Thank you!
Thanks! I knew there was a simple drill bit for this but I wasn't sure what it looked like or how to use it.
This was so helpful. Thank you 😊
Thanks for that last tip. I always use those screws, but counter sink anyway coz sometimes those little raised bits are basically blunt and doesn't do anything
Awesome video, very informative!

Thank You. This did help. 👍
This is great stuff. I've seen some reverse the screw in initially and then in the correct direction but it doesn't come out as when done properly as you showed.

This was really cool! Love the alternative ways added too. Took me awhile to remember the word countersinking. Curious if a Forstner bit could also work for countersinking? Picked up a set for 1 project years ago and haven't used it since, makes me wonder if I could have saved the $10 on the countersink set.
thank you!!
Thanks!
Thanks man
@The Fixer I never knew there were those kinds of bits. Christmas ideas. Yes, already, lol. I have to get ahead of my husband and he really loves tools and cool gadgets that he can use.Can you maybe do a video on some more cool gadgets tool related? He has every Husky bag there is and is a Ryobi guy too. Even his yard tools are Ryobi. Any gadgets phone related, yard work related, flashlights, anything, lol. I would really like to wow him. Thank you SO much for your very informative video's. I always, always learn something new and I do use tools. 🤗❤

Do the construction screws eliminate the hardwood splitting at the end of the boards, especially when you're trying to countersink the head? Thanks for the videos! Love your work!
very nice
Can you give me advice on what set of counter sink bits you would recommend? I loved this video and it was perfect for beginners and easy to follow.

What brand of countersink bits are you using in the video?
What about ply? 6mm, I am screwing down to floorboards. Will self tapping countersunks go through that easy? Thanks

you should mention which countersink bit size is proper for counter sink screw size, like how a machinist would do it. I hate doing things trial and error and eyeballing.
I like this video
Thnx
Question for anyone, Any thoughts on the Kreg Quick Flip? Specifically, I think the size of it is 1/4" and designed for the Kreg screws, but would it also work for most any other type screw?
This was so helpful for a project I’m about to start ! Thanks for a great video.
