Typically our mind tells us to fight pressure with down pressure, in this case- we counter by utilizing momentum! Thanks for the comment Rachel

Thank you. It's interesting how your natural instinct to put your shoulder down, is the opposite of a good defense.
Two things wrong. When you lock his arm, you keep his arm under you and push his elbow in his ear. His hand was able to move freely. Secondly, he didn't grab the wrist of the guy, he grabbed the muscle.

Micah Saisor you should go for a wrist but it's not completely necessary. They were focusing more on the running of the bar and escape

Good points, actually. The top man has got to keep the bottom man's elbow in his chest. Then, he puts the bottom man's shoulder in his own ear. Loose technique.

You have to hit it quick and right away...as soon as you feel a bar coming. Also, elbows ticked and good technical awareness when building your base..you can avoid the bar.
Wouldn't you just get pancaked here
