How to Cook a Perfect Double Cheeseburger with George Motz | Burger Scholar Sessions

Ойын-сауық

Burger Scholar George Motz teaches you how to cook one of the most important hamburgers in America-the original double cheeseburger from Southern California's iconic Bob's Big Boy Restaurant. This is the double burger that birthed all other double burgers (and even predates the invention of the Big Mac by almost 30 years!). Learn how to make a perfect double cheeseburger at home while soaking up some hamburger history.

I had success making the Bob's Big Boy Burger a few years ago. A couple of tips: if using Kraft for the cheese, use Kraft deli deluxe American cheese (not their regular American cheese which did not taste right). Also, I used Del Monte hamburger relish (the one that says, "made with real sugar" on the front. It tasted identical to what I remembered for the big boy burger). Also, make sure the burgers are thin enough to create the proper ratios between all the layers.
