@@b3llyfull most skates fit somewhat true to size but a lot of the skaters if they can size up by a point .5 and stuff their skates with something soft because of the hard toe box

Nice one man, good video, i am really tempted to do this, the old bauer turbo skates are plastic and get fragile. I like jumping around so these will be proper strong. Thanks for the guide.

Cheers man.. I have bauer supreme S140's conversion that I bought pre-done.. I'm wanting to get a new boot but keep my old plate trucks wheels ect so am tempted to try this as it will be cheaper that buying a whole new set pre-made

I'm trying to do the polar opposite, I'm trying to turn my Luna skates into ice skates during the winter and just switch back to quad when the warmer weather finally comes back.

What difference does the heel addition make? Why does the skates need it when the blade doesn’t? Sorry if this is an obvious question but I’m a newbie to skating and have many many questions! 😂

The blade is constructed in a way as to not need a heel as it has a curve where the back side sits higher than the front

Do you know if this can be done for inlines? Change ice skates into inline skates?

good question, you probably can but the idea is that getting an ice skate boot for your quads would make the entire boot lighter, a quad skate boot would be very heavy for ice skates -MRDC

Where do you get the heel from?

Maybe you can answer my question. I have a pair of boots that I love. Switchit brand from back in the 90s. How do I convert this non-UFS boot into a UFS friendly boot? Your help would be appreciated. Thanks!!!!

how you doing mate, I'm one of the members from the channel. There doesn't seem to be an official way to do this and it may be a video for another day. My guess would be possibly DIYing a plate on to the boot but i can't vouch for the durability of the skate that comes out on the other end. Let us know how you end up solving this issue! -MRDC

I think I am going to use a Powerslide trinity frame adapter with a Kizer Flux frame. It took a while to figure it out but I think that will work.

It’s the heel and there’s a big shortage of them in the UK

what size plate did you get for your skate

How did you get the rivets out the front of the boot? I can't get the screwdriver into the toe if mine to bash them out

you've gotta take the laces all the way out, you will be hitting the rivets out at an angle

The plate should be around the same size as the the boot if it’s smaller than it is the placement of the heel that you should prioritise
