Hey :) if I go from SP to LLC mid year... how do I fill out my 1099? Do i fill it out as LLC but include all of my annual numbers? Do I have 2 separate 1099s? One as SP one as LLC? Thanks! 🙏🏽

Also how does an S corp effect regular employment with another company. man u make it sound so easy, but after taking notes i realized it's a lot of steps. i just purchased a small business in my actual name, currently in escrow. i signed the p.a. &all other contracts, franchise, lease etc, in my name- going thru escrow. can liability still fall on me in a worst case scenario because all the original contracts are signed by me. can i just give the business to my llc as a contribution? u lost me at operating as dba name, trade name, llc name?, &i do not understand simply changing or amending the contracts. who can create and do all this for me? an accountant or lawyer- frugally? lol, confused. i need ur help- 1st time buyer

Hello, and thanks for this info. What if I want to establish an LLC under one name, but have different services under different names and possibly locations, for example FEDEX provides shipping but has Print & Ship locations with the name FEDEX Print & Ship, and then other locations they have just FEDEX shipping.I don't see where they include LLC anywhere or INC? I want to make sure I set this up correctly from the start.

That’s exactly what trade names are for! A trade name, or DBA, lets you do business under a name that’s different from your entity’s registered name. (But in the case of FedEx, I believe they’re mostly independently owned and operated. That’s a different situation than what you’re describing.) I’m planning on starting my own sporting clothing company, I’m wondering if it is an industry where I could easy get sued by other companies or if I should go with the sole proprietorship instead of the LLC. I haven’t sell any of my products yet but I have a solid business plan. I’m just deciding between those two options since I don’t know if it is worth it to start with an LLC. What do you recommend?

No, that’s wrong. LLCs are formed at the state level and not through the IRS.
