My photoshop screen doesn't look like yours. I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 2018. What is it that you're using for your instruction?

That one is full Photoshop CC probably between 2019-2021. Elements is the “lite” version of Photoshop, and is quite a lot different.

Video goes to black at 9:02, comes back at about 9:31. :( 2 QUESTIONS: 1 - what's the difference between export as png and save as png? 2 - wouldn't it be easier to use the magic eraser tool? or is that not sophisticated enough?

OH MY GOSH, thank you SO much for letting me know about that black part. Crazy. I edited it out, KZread says it might take a few hours to process, though. About your questions, 1. In Photoshop, you can't actually save as png (going to File > Save as). You have to export it. 2. I think results are very similar with the magic eraser tool - just another way to do it! Both are good. :)

@@GDHT I save as png all the time. Just click the drop down when the dialogue box pops up and bob's yer uncle, there it is. Granted you'll need the transparent background for it to truly save as a png. Illustrator I know makes you do the exports. Just alternatives or if anyone else has been doing it and got confused. Maybe it's a Windows vs Mac thing? :D

I think Photoshop is the same on Mac and Windows these days. But maybe you're on a different Photoshop version. If I go to File > Save As in Photoshop 2021, I have 13 options, but PNG isn't one of them.

@@GDHT that could be. I've been doing it this way for 7 years and I had to stop updating as they took away the pixel line function. Once restored I'll update and may loose it then. Which would be sad. It's just so natural for me to use my keyboard controls to do the saving. It will be stinky not to be able to. lol

@@madnessofmymind I think you could still set up a keyboard shortcut for Quick Export as PNG (I think that’s a new option), so at least there’s that! :)
