How to Connect Your Own Wi-Fi Router to the Verizon 5G Home Internet Gateway (ASK firmware 222656)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Is the Wi-Fi signal from your Verizon 5G gateway too weak to reach all of your devices? In this video, I show you how to set up your Verizon ASK-NCQ1338FA (firmware version 222656) gateway to work with an external Wi-Fi router by putting it into Passthrough mode.
To get to your gateway's control panel, go to this address in a browser on a computer connected to your gateway:

You might also consider a mesh. That will give you multiple Wi-Fi transmitters for a large area. They're simple to set up too.

I have the ASK unit. I kept my router because I have port forwarding set up for security cameras. I also have Deco Mesh set up for wifi. They are set to access point mode after the router. When you go to Pass Through, the pilot light on the ASK goes from white to green. I had to set the ASK firewall setting to minimum because of my alarm system connection to the central station. After all that, everything works great and I am very satisfied with Verizon.

@@rbrbworld Set it up in Pass Through mode (green light on front instead of white light) and get a router mesh system. Once a week, reboot the Verizon box, whether it’s your router or in Pass Through mode. That will maintain your internet speed. I have found if you don’t, the speed throttles down. Just unplug the power plug for 30 seconds and Verizon will reboot to either a white light as a router or a green light as Pass Through mode.
