Ah i see what's happening. So i have a similar thing happen in my chain ships. I had a concept to create a rope of connected ships (links) to harvest the asteroid belts. But what Happens is even at its thickest points sometimes the sheer forces will pop the armor out of its link. But you are popping into the hold. Very neat and clean bond.

yeah and the best thing about it: once you figured out how it works, its pretty easy to copy and replicate in other ship designs :D

Hello, unfortunately, I haven‘t uploaded any blueprints, and I would recommend to start with something thats easier, the star destroyer is hard to connect in the last step ;) I wish you a great day!

i have played a shit ton of cosmoteer and didn't know about this so thats pretty cool but also, why? you can just turn on huge ships and avoid having to do all of this. still cool tho.
