Bc my hands get slipping on the big ps5 controller, it really is big and there is no grip on the sides and back andthe left and right stick are yoo far away for my thumbs. With the xbox series controller i have no problems.

So im a bit confused. So if the game is on both the ps4 and the ps5 then the adapter can work for the ps5 version of that game? So basically if it is a ps5 exclusive then it wont work?? Sorry I'm just having a bit of hard time understanding. Because like my hopes was to use this for street fighter 6 which is on the ps4 and the ps5.

Because my PS4 Controller was lost and I don't feel like trying to locate it when I have two spare Xbox controllers that I use as backups for when my main one has to charge, and whenever I play with with friends. That and I simply like the feel and bulk of the Xbox controllers more than PS4 controllers. So this will definitely come in handy 😉

If the headset is a wireless PS4/PS5 headset then it connects via the console and will work. If it is a wired headset for PS4/PS5 it will not work with the xbox controller. If it is a wired/wireless xbox headset, it will not work with the PS4/PS5. I am using a cheap wireless headset for PS4/PS5 and my xbox controller with this adapter, wired via USB. I tested everything I described above with multiple headsets.

Only the controller if your wanting to use a headset your gonna have to have a ps4 or ps5 controller on hand

I'm curious about this as well. Because if you can't, it means you'd still have to connect with a Dualshock controller first in order to even reach the PS4 Home screen, after pressing PS button to turn on the console/waking up from rest mode.

@@Ansatsu601 I eventually got the ps4 controller so I don't know if you can do this with just the xsx controller. I use them both now and they work perfectly but for the initial setup I had the ps4 controller

Likely there's a little bit more latency all in all but it shouldn't be that bad.

I haven't experienced a delay after about 4hrs of straight playing but it did remap my Back button on my controller to another button.

But how do you do this without an adapter? I highly against adapters due to the obvious lag that follows with it. Anyways the series x 2023 controller i recently bought has its own Bluetooth capabilities an can be played on phone's and more. However they don't give a manual or instructions on how to do so..

There is a button on your controller that turns on Bluetooth when you click it the xbox logo should start flashing on your controller which means it's ready to pair up with a device in this case your phone it's pretty easy to connect the button is next to your USB c cable port

@Jmster69 no there is no need for your console to be turned on when using either a ps5 controller or xbox try using both the cable and Bluetooth and see which works better for me on cod mobile for example it sometimes recognizes I have it connected and sometimes not when using bluetooth

According to Amazon these adapters can only be hooked up to a switch, PS4, and Windows 10&11 PC. Says nothing about hooking up to a PS5 console or Xbox console.

Got both consoles and don't want to buy multiple remotes; have grown up playing Xbox and want to move to PlayStation but like the Xbox controller layout and don't want to change; have some friends coming over and don't have enough PlayStation remotes. Can think of a few reasons it'd be useful for different people

But what if your reason for doing so is you want to play Spider-Man with it, or The Last of Us, God of War, Uncharted etc etc. Or also just because you already have an Xbox, but prefer the PS5 for Co op, but only have 1 Ps5 controller. You can turn the xbox controller into the 2nd controller for your friend to use. Definitely has uses, and is very straight forward

Many people still want to connect one to a PS5 to play PS4 games that haven't got native PS5 optimisations, as this was popular requested before I made the video (Minecraft, Rocket League etc). If I only put PS4 in the title and thumbnail, people would assume it wouldn't work on PS5 for any games and many people are looking for that. I made sure to put the PS4 first and also make it more dominant in the title however. There's no "false advertising" here at all. At the time of recording, no adapters supported native PS5 games, and I'm not sure if there are any yet either. Once there are, I'll be sure to make an updated guide.

Some do... Particularly wireless adaptors. But my brook adaptors have been solid af! Beating elden ring over and over again without dying using these so... They can't be all that laggy lol.

Agreed.. adapters are nothing but a big headache. I never used one before except for an internet adapter and what a mistake that was. If it's not corded it's useless plain and simple. Even Bluetooth can experience lag from time to time.
