Holy Mother of Expressions. This is such good content - best 7 minutes of my week ;) Thx Ukramedia!
This is just mind blowing -- can't wait to put this to use for some data driven animations. Thank you so much!
Absolutely perfect. Straight to the point, clear and it works. Thanks so much!
Great tutorial. Thank you Sergei.
This is awesome! I certainly cannot replicate it without pausing each second of the video while doing it, but it's great to know it's possible. Thanks for sharing.
This definitely works for anyone wondering, great video man! Very peaceful
I literally needed this info today and lo and behold. Thank you!
Thank you, very helpful tutorial!
Wow. Just, wow!
This is great, thank you!
Sergey, its a boom video ....again! 🙏
You're amazing! 🙌👏
You are the best! Just keep continuing... 🥰

Yess..to me is very clearly Sergei! After this tutorial, lesson whatever you wanna call it, I have to quit my job😄. It is quite an Ae Expression lesson and we the "mortals", we thank you very much for sharing it. Thank you! Maybe the best Ae Expression Channel! Great work! ❤
You're a genius!

Thank you, Sergei. You are really the boss of the expressions. But it is not easy. I must use a second screen for your lesson and work step by step on the other screen to understand the process. I am also searching a way to trace a mathematical curve like, for example, mathsin(time). Should you have an idea?
Wow!

Watched it - understood it as you explained it- but couldn't come up with it in the first place tho - Thank you.

hi, great video. do you know any source so i can learn coding of after effect?
Hi Sergei, I wonder if this is the kind of content I get from your expression courses. If that’s the case, please take my money !
I am having a hard time figuring out how to create a simple line trace… like if you were following a curvy maze…. A video about that would be really helpful…
can you use the trim path to animate the drawing on of the connecting line?
@ukramedia

Yes, you can definitely use a trim path to animate the line! 🙂
Great video! Why are you using Const instead of Var? Is there a difference in how constants are stored vs. variables or is this just coders' choice?
@ukramedia
Жыл бұрын
There are some benefits. It prevents you from accidentally overwriting variables that you didn't want to change. Also, since the variable is static and isn't going to change... I assume the computer knows that and it probably won't be looking at that variable every frame. So that might help to speed things up a bit. However, it's not something I actually tested, just my assumption. Clear as mud? 🙂

i think const can't be chained thats why, i don''t know shit about JS so take it with a grain of salt

@@ukramedia Am I understanding correctly: const is a cousin of a var. A var can change (x position, eg) whereas const is something we expect to never change? And the benefit might be less processing behind the scenes since it wouldn't need to keep checking to see what the value is. (I'm inferring this mostly from your reply)

@@seant2432 I would recommend reading this: www.freecodecamp.org/news/var-let-and-const-whats-the-difference/.
On the face of it, it seems like a fairly simple expression, but if you're not used to coding or writing expressions it's a bit of a challenge. My head hurts! I think I've got it!

My goal is to eliminate fear from Expressions. 😁
Is there a way for the line to have handles at the points so it can become curved?
@ukramedia
Жыл бұрын
Yes, look into in & out tangents. You can learn more about it here: ae-expressions.docsforadobe.dev/path-property.html.
Project file is not being accessed from website, don't know what's the problem with website.
I typed in the code and it fails every time.
