The charged maintaining is green after only a couple of hours. And there is a faint red light on the bad battery indicator. So it can maintain a charge on a bad battery? And does the green light turn off after it is fully charged?

Looks like my sc1340 except it has Gold borders instead of White. It does Standard AGM and GEL. Main got it to charge the marine battery for trolling motor.

Mine looks exactly like that. Mine is an SC1283.

Plug the negative cable to the frame and not the negative terminal you'll have Les less chance of a spark.

That would not work in this case, the battery is disconnected from the car.

How long do you leave it charging?

Mine charger switches into a charged/maintainer mode. Thats when I disconnect it.

Does this charger have to plugged up to jump the battery?

Yes it does and its only 55 amp so depends on what you're starting. Id call it still a booster

Yeah the idiot at home Depot told me it was a f****** jump box.. let me open the damn thing but it was so heavy I figured well I guess he knows.. but no I don't know anything just like all the idiots that all the stupid ass parts stores give me the wrong parts every time.. oh well

I bought the exact one two days ago brought it home plugged it in did all of what you just did in the f****** thing won't do nothing.. no lights. doesn't turn on zero.. does nothing...I'm so pissed off right now cuz I'm stranded cuz of this f****** thing

That could mean the power outlet is faulty or it tripped a breaker cause the line that the outlet is connected to doesn't support the power rating of the charging device. Try the power outlet of the oven or the microwave and if it still doesn't work, that means you have a faulty device. Return it.
