You have identified the key issue we have come up against with renaming / rebranding our company (25 employees 25 years) we didn't take the time to write out our Customer Avatar- we have been going off what each of us thinks our customer is, but we haven't compared notes. Next week we will be able to move forward when we go through that exercise. Have you done a video about rebranding/renaming a company after a long time?

I found this video to be really good. I listened to it in parts so I could slow down and think things through. You bring a lot of building blocks together and they really are helping me to clarify my brand, my message, and how to distinguish myself for memorability. Thank you!

Unfortunately, the information provided in this video is not new to me and I am still stuck on creating a brand name. I want to create a brand name so original that it will blow all the competition out of the way. I know that sounds weird to put it that way but that is how I envision it. The issue is that every time I come up with a brand name I love that my friends and family approve of I come to find out someone else already uses that brand name and the domain name for that brand name is either taken or some parked domain name where someone is selling it for $2000 or more. Looks like I am back to the drawing board again. But I appreciate the information. Although I already knew the information presented it is still very good and valuable for those who do not know it already. Thank you for sharing this video!

Appreciate your feedback. Naming is tough but crucial. Consider blending ideas or tweaking your favorites slightly. For domain hurdles, try variations or explore naming platforms for fresh perspectives. It's a grind, but a dash of patience often leads to memorable brand names.

This strategy is actually very similar to wich I use for logo and identity design. Great content!

I have 2 brands. One name is in the invented category. The other one, I'm not sure if you had a category for. It's a semi-invented product description name crossed with a Geographic name that doesn't outright say the name of my location but is what my location is known for

I would come up with thousands of names, but every domain is purchased .... 😢

if you dont know where to start collecting related words, go through sections of a thesaurus or the entire thing and just write down everything that resonates

I would create a "stage name" brand... Create a new spelling or an abbreviated version eg "Mat" / "Matt" etc

You always have to consider the context... the culture it's coming from, the meaning it has and the pronunciation... If you're going to confuse, it's not recommended

content is valuable, but would be nicer if you please don't speak everything in one breath. Instead, take some short pauses in between, so we the audience consume it properly. ✌

@@Jared_SC No, you are missing my point. By definition, an acronym is initials (the first letter of each word) that are spoken as a word, not as separate letters. BMW, MTV, IBM are all spoken as separate letters.
