First Time Here?
Thanks for being here. I know your time is valuable, so I'll keep it short. I own a company called 4LC Studios. I do video production (weddings, commercial, and anything else that grabs our attention). This youtube channel and everything I post is about the journey. I love sharing what I'm learning, how I'm growing, and how I'm failing. I hope you'll follow my journey and be a part of the conversation.

best color correction video for fcp so far
This colour correcting tutorial has been so insightful. I already feel like a better colour corrector now. Subtracting colour as opposed to adding and also adding addition layers to fine tune the colour you want is a concept that never occurred to me before. Thanks
I've been looking for a throughout explanation like this for the past week over KZread. Finally! Thank you Scott. keep up the great work
This is the BEST color correct video in the Whole KZread Community. You should be a university professor.

Scott my brother, that's one of the best out of several I watched since yesterday. keep sharing such knowledge.
Fabulous. Thank you. My first time on your channel. Just bought FCP and I need to learn how to colour grade. I appreciate your clear explanations and it's obvious that you know well the technical aspects behind the process 👏
Hey , been using fcp for a year and this has helped me massively on the colour side of things. Thanks ✌️
Hi Scott, your video was helpful because you went step by step through the process. I am an old lady trying to use FCPX to create videos, and your video was informative without the frustration of trying to determine where to find the function you were describing. Thank you for an excellent video.
Me and my son are trying to take the next step in our video editing and color correction is a skill we’re sorely missing. This was a great start for us.
I watched a million videos & i was still frazzled! This 1 video taught me more than the million others! direct & straight foward! Good work! & thanks a ton! Sending my love from, Philadelphia! Cheers!
Thanks for this, Scott. I had already taken some lessons on using scopes, but this was one of the better waveform explanations I've seen. I'm sure lots of us benefitted from this.

Thanks for saying hello. So glad to hear you found the channel and are enjoying it.
Good video. Subscribed. Would love to see more examples of color correcting various clips with bad or inconsistent lighting conditions (or sometimes barely any lighting), etc. We capture a variety of skin tones within the same frame, under bad lighting and frequently at night or in a nightclub or backstage concert. More problem solving tips to help salvage and improve that kind of footage would be immensely helpful. Thanks!
Great video, I learned so much! It’s much easier than I imagined but I only know that from watching this :) thanks! Liked and subscribed.
Clear and easy to follow! Thanks!!

Great tutorial, Scott!
Great explanation ,very helpful
thank you! well done. great explanation
Awesome brother. Great stuff. What I like to do is use the draw mask function. Mask out an area that’s supposed to be white and then bring up the rgb parade waveform and it only brings up the waveform for that white area. Then I adjust accordingly. Once I’m done I turn off the mask and I get good results. :)
thank you very much! I had a problem with colors in my wideo, especially with yellow color - but not anymore 😊
The best color editing so far.

on first look this has been very helpful. I will try doing some correction now using waveforms and see. I am often shooting theatrical productions. When everything is great except the lead character is singing in a spot light.... that is NEVER right! This could be the difference between success and failure. Thank you. I'll update.
Very useful. Thankyou!
Well done!
Thank you...very understandable

Great tips, especially about making sure exposure is correct first! Mixed lighting is so annoying to correct. Specially skin tones.

Yes. Exposure first, then white balance. Every time. In camera and in post. The exposure being off affects the white balance so much.
