rough translation summary: cylinder is slightly thicker near the top 3:35, built more towards daily driving 3:50, oem piston heads but from a completly diff make and moddel 4:00, it should make 650hp reliably 4:30, tapered the connecting rods at the top to fit 4:40, stroke went from 91mm to 93mm 4:54, i think compression ratio will be 8.6:1 5:05.

Impressive! Probably a trade secret but how much press fit/interference did you go with? I would guess 5 tenths in inch but I do not know haha

Hello, great video. If you are going to use steel sleeves, do you still need to "closedeck" the block? Isn't the problem solved just with the sleeves?

enough for stock power, but if you want to increase power, it is necessary to stiffen the block to reduce the vibration of the sleeve

@@tomiracetech Interesting. I have seen many shops that install Darton sleeves claiming they are sufficient for up to 1000hp. Simply Volvo ran more than 900, if I'm not mistaken, on Darton and open deck. Anyway, your project is awesome! Please keep up with the videos! Cheers!

Korba ori ma 145mm i 21mm stworzeń. Aktualnie korba 143mm i sworzeń 23mm. Tloki ori audi.

@@tomiracetech Tłok z 2.0TFSI? tam jest chyba 82.5 średnica, więc zwiększona pojemność też. Myślisz, że oryginalny blok 2.3 z dziurą 81 wytrzymałby po szlifie pod te tłoki?

@@1mati3 Zostanie mało żeliwa i jak będziesz w niego dmuchał może to pęknąć. No ja bym nie ryzykował. Od razu zamykał bym blok i custom tuleja.

What is the function of drilling holes around the cylinder sleeves?

Its to let cooling water pas through so the cylinder head and sleeves don't overheat, and it wil make the headgasket last longer cause of lower heat strain.

Elevate offers closed and oopen deck sleeve installation. it costs a few thousand and requires you to send in your engine block to them. I'm not sure if youll need to change out from oem pistons or anything but i would recommend after getting this work done, it would be wise to do a full rebuild to the engine as well.

Czy gdyby trafił się wystarczająco uparty klient to tę szczelinę między tulejami dałoby się jednak zamknąć? :) Płyn i tak tam nie przepływa, a tym miejscu seria najczęściej pęka.

Przy tej modyfikacji przepływa płyn miedzy tulejami, a tuleje wymieniane są właśnie po to żeby wyeliminować słabość seryjnej tulei. Na wysokości 25mm tuleja ma bardzo grube żeliwo co czyni ją naprawdę pancerną :) a to właśnie u samej góry mamy najwyższe ciśnienie i temperaturę w cylindrze. Ten silnik zbudowany był na 650KM ale tuleje wytrzymają o wiele wiele więcej.

Almost haha, its the generation before, the B5254T2. However, they are practically the same engine in many ways, the B5254T12 can also have this work done to it. Elevate offers their closed and open deck sleeve installation.

Did you forget the Renault part of the development, that they did mooch off of? Wonderfully smooth engine in the Renault Safrane with the fuzzy 4 speed Automatic.
