How often does your hand dryer need to be cleaned?

This video will instruct you on how to clean your XLERATOR hand dryer.
Often, we are asked about how frequently your hand dryer should be cleaned and it depends largely on usage. Consider cleaning your dryer twice a year.
If in a high-traffic area, you will want to clean your dryer more often.
First, disconnect the power supply to the dryer, usually located in your electrical panel box, and remove your cover.
Confirm power is disconnected by checking if there is any voltage at the terminal block.
Use a soft, damp cloth or sponge.
Wipe away the dirt from the intake area of the dryer cover.
For dryers with a pre-filter, the pre-filter can be removed by pulling down on the tab.
Wipe away the debris and then rinse with water and dry thoroughly before putting back on the unit.
For older dryers without a pre-filter use a cloth to clean the sensor and a small soft brush to gently clean the interior.
Note: If you are only cleaning a unit with a HEPA filter, only clean the HEPA pre-filter.
The HEPA filter should be assessed if there is a loss of air volume or if the HEPA filter is dirty, and if so, you should consider replacing the HEPA filter.
Once clean, you can replace the cover and restore the power supply.
