Learn how to safely replace the control assembly #40103 on your XLERATOR.
Hi. I’m Julia, a technical service representative at Excel Dryer. Excel Dryer manufactures hand dryers in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts. We are proud to say we make the only hand dryer that is made in the USA certified. We have created a series of videos to help you maintain your Excel hand dryer. This video will teach you how to replace the control assembly #40103 on your XLERATOR.
First, disconnect the power supply to the dryer usually located in your electrical panel box and remove your cover.
Confirm power is disconnected by checking if there is any voltage at the terminal block.
Depress tab on the connector while pulling to unplug from control.
Loosen rear screw one full turn.
Loosen front screw one full turn.
Slide control and bracket towards you and away from the wall to disengage bracket screws.
Disconnect the green ground wire on the bracket.
Disconnect the sensor assembly with bracket by removing the two screws.
The entire assembly is now removed.
To install your new control assembly, slide bracket back into place and tighten screws.
Connect to the green ground wire with the sensor wire routed behind ground wire.
Ensure the control wire with harness is routed behind the adjustment knobs.
Press tab back into place.
Place screws into sensor bracket and install sensor in place by tightening screws.
