I’ve got a PS4 slims and honestly the whole reason I’m getting canned air in the first place was because of my stupid 11/12 year old self not turning the ps4 off and leaving it on all night and day, my poor system is on life support, I’m praying I don’t need a new one🙏🏾

Damn, my 10 yr old self kept on yoinking the power cable out of the ps4 them the hard drive got corrupted and I didn’t know how to fix it so I just threw it in the bin, wish I didn’t bc now I know how to fix it

No air can but i used the q-tips like you showed and my fan is already barely making noise like it used to... THANK YOU!

I was terrified to do the cleaning and dusting. Further, from what little I know about breaking down tech, touching the heat sink, like, at all, wasn't gonna happen. But after a thorough cleaning, using fiber cloth (like you use on your car), and canned air, my PS4 runs like new! No loud fan, not jet sounds--nothing. Very happy!

My top broke a little when i opened i was trying for 15 minutes and then it cracked a little

Idk how long ago this was posted but the top is hard to take off and it feels like am gonna break it so should i clean it because it sounds like an air port

I cleaned my PS4 pro and it still roars like a fighter, it looks like after 6-7 years the thermal paste will have to be replaced, but disassembling the PS4pro is quite difficult

I haven’t done these but have done TONS of screwless TVs and other devices. These things always feel like they’re about to crack. Honestly, depending on the condition, they could. The plastic on any bezel or device will become brittle in the right conditions, so there’s no one definitive answer. If you’re super worried about it, I’d look into cost of buying another of those components. I doubt that part of the case costs much!

I tried this method, i only cleaned it with a wet napkin, no spray duster, but the method didn’t work, too scared to do spray duster because the ps4 might break from the water.

You can purchase a kit to help with removal at a reasonable price. You will have to be firm-handed, but the hardware will survive. Good luck!

you can put more strength into it than you think, and make sure you are pulling directly on the corners too, the front corners

Last time I dusted the fan and it destroyed my last PS4.
