How to Clean & Make Spinner Spin Longer Like Brand New

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

If your spinner has decreased spin time over time for instance when you first got it spun 2,3 or 4 minutes and now it's spins way less like 1 minute or even 15 seconds then watch this video. Overtime your spinner bearings can accumulate dirt, lint, debris, dust, etc . Also if you used any kind of lubricant or degreaser it will decrease your spinners spin time massively.
If you want to clean all the grease (oils, wd-40, lubercants, fliuids, etc) and dirt, lint, dust, drink stains, hairs, etc out, one of the easiest and safest ways is by using Isopropyl alcohol 99%.
Drop your bearing into the alcohol and swish it and spin it clockwise and counterclockwise while completely submerged for about three minutes. Afterwards dry if off, best to use canned air, blow dryer, or u can spin it dry like I did on the video. Sometimes I have used paper towels w success too but possible for small paper towel hairs to catch inside the bearing when drying. Let me know if your spinner is back to normal or even spinning longer these when you first got it.
Does WD-40 Make your spinner faster and spin longer? Yes Faster but NO it will signiciantly decrease spin time and here is proof: • Fidget Spinner w/ WD-4...
Isopropyl Alcohol, 99%: amzn.to/2tYtK3Q

    Thanks for this tutorial! I used unsuitable chemicals for cleaning. After seeing your instructions I used denatured ethanol which is similar to isopropyl alcohol and originally my spinner on which I tested it spun 1:43 min. After cleaning, my spinner turns 2:20 min! This is a pretty big improvement!

    When you sent me the 75g iSpin spinner the very first spin I did on it was 2 mins 45 secs. About 2 months later I had a similar thought and wanted to see if the spin time would decrease at all and I am pleased to say that after a few trials I was still about 10 secs (plus or minus) to about 2:45 again. So from my experience, the iSpin spinners are of very good quality and are made to last!!

    I'm really glad you did this video, I tried WD-40 a while back and had the same problem, it slowed my spinning time way down, I have found that using hot water with the kitchen sprayer and then the alcohol really made a difference.

  • @batmank234
    @batmank2347 жыл бұрын

    The best method that worked for me (it even made possible to revive a rusty bearing) is as following: *Materials needed* - Old toothbrush - Tweezers or tong - Lemon juice* - Vinegar* - Rubbing alcohol - Water - 2 containers (jar, cup, glass, etc.) - A big screw to place your bearing - Hair dryer - Paper towel - Of course, the bearing to clean (*)= Only use them if your bearings are rusted, otherwise you'll end up screwing them up. *Steps* [SKIP STEPS 1-3 IF YOUR BEARING ISN'T RUSTED] 1. Pour the lemon juice and vinegar into a container, mix them well. 2. Put the bearing inside the liquid and swish it around with some tweezers for about a minute or till most of the rust falls off. 3. Take the bearing out and use the brush to clean between the balls and rings, place it on the screw and spin till it gets kinda sticky. 4. With the bearing on the screw, wash with plenty of water (don't worry, it won't rust because you'll dry the water before the metal absorbs it). Brush the balls if you want. 5. Dry the bearing by spinning it around and using the hair dryer (please use it on a low setting, because if you use a high setting or dry for too long, it may ruin the bearing again, also it may cause the bearing to lose it's shine and darken up). 6. Pour some alcohol into the other container so it covers all the bearing, rinse it for about 5 minutes. 7. Take the bearing out and put it on the paper towel to eliminate the excess of alcohol. Then repeat step 5. 8. Let the remaining particles of alcohol and water evaporate on their own by letting the bearing sit for a while (DO NOT RUSH THIS PART), give the occasional spin to check everything is OK. 9. Finally put the bearing back on to the spinner and enjoy yourself. Hope that this helps everyone in need to clean their bearings ;)

    I remember commenting on the other video as well. :) Spin time gets worse with WD-40 over time because it gunks up so much. Better use a light oil like valve oil. Though I think that most of the time if you want a quieter spinner, get a copper spinner with an R188 bearing. Those are really quiet. :) The larger bearings (608) are going to be noisier.
