    I just used your method to clean my laminate and it worked great. The prior owners of our house installed (I think) the cheapest laminate and it has always been a hassle to get them to look clean. They're always dull. Your solution left my floors looking a little shinier and smelling oh-so-fresh. It does not remove marring and scratches but I understand that is normal wear and tear. Thank you for sharing!

    WOWZA! 🤗 I just used this on my 20+ year old laminate floors-high traffic, scratches and scoffs and I admit I’ve used various product on it including light wax for hardwood floors-but this did a beautiful job deep cleaning and restoring some luster and dried immediately-used a bucket, rag and good old fashion,down on the floor, hand washing with elbow grease💪. I used a thin utility knife to scrap off any stuck on ‘dirt’ spots and buildup-that worked great too, just keep blade at a slant and run it across spot. THANK YOU! This will be my ‘go to’ cleaner from now on! (Don’t know what I’ll do with all the cleaning and restoring product I just bought for annual deep spring cleaning!😂)

So I tried some other things to clean my floor and ended up buying that mop again because I got desperate, the mop still doesn’t spray right but I found a different video to fix that problem anyways my question is how do I get up all the residue from my floors from using all the wrong products 🤦🏽‍♀️I should of listen and used your advice first 😢

    Hello Barbara! If you're referring to the Miss Meyers ready to us mix that comes in a squirt bottle... then no. Only use the concentrate to make your mixture. The ready to use mix is already diluted so if you dilute it even more it will kill all of it's cleaning ability. If you want a further explanation of how all that works I highly recommend you check out my video I did about understanding the pH scale. You will find that video on the channel under my playlist series entitled "Understanding Cleaning Chemicals"

    Hi there; new subscriber here. Will the alcohol over time hurt your laminate floor? I know people use vinegar and I did read that over time that will hurt your floors, but was just curious about the alcohol. We have Pergo floors. I'm assuming they are the same and we would use the same cleaning solution? Thanks for helping me clean and laugh at the same time.

  • @CleanWithConfidence

    @CleanWithConfidence

    4 жыл бұрын

    Ouch! Yes, you aren't supposed to put wax on laminate. Unfortunately it's not an easy job because you can't get them too wet. Scrape off as much as you can with a 4 inch plastic drywall scraper. You can try to soften the wax before you scrape by heating it up with a blow dryer. After that you have to rub the rest off with a cloth and you hand. Make a mixture of vinegar and water. Do like 2 cups of vinegar per gallon of water. If it's really bad and the vinegar doesn't get it off you will have to use mineral spirits or paint thinner. The only problem with that route though is that there is a good chance you will remove some of the finish along with the wax.

  • @CleanWithConfidence

    @CleanWithConfidence

    3 жыл бұрын

    Streaks can appear for a number of reasons. 1.) floor is still dirty 2.) too wet and not drying fast enough. Maybe turn a ceiling fan on as you are mopping 3.) too much of the cleaner and it left a residue. (Which you said isnt the case.) 4.) also if the mop pad is dirty that can effect the results.

I was told by the company that if I used anything other than Bona or Bruce it would void the warranty.
