Very helpful for removing the pads. I did actually wash mine. One thing you didn't mention is that the error message may not go away. Though I know people sell counter reset codes, we're first taking less risk with the temporary reset code from Epson. Hopefully, since our pads are clean, the reset will last longer.

Does anyone know where I can purchase the pads, and, the reset code kit (U.S.)?

I have an xp620 and this video is much simpler. the xp620 is a right faff

I have an Epson xp530. My machine won’t work because it says it needs the service to do the pads and reset the code. I do want to try what you’ve just done, but how do I get the code?

Thank you so much I’ll will be doing this 1st in the morning. The locals depend on my brother at my barber shop.

Once i have replaced the Ink Pads what do i do then to resett the printer please. Its all flashing lights still?????

I cannot remove ink cartridges prior to cleaning pads on my xp-310 because I can’t even get to the ink replacement option on my printer with the error message stuck. How does one do that and can you post a link to reset after cleaning pads? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Nice Video, i didnt know that printers have lifetime waste pads in it, after my printer show me the message. Before i took them out i watch your video, after that i first try the reset, i payed for my key 5,95 Euro to use the WicReset software, i got very fast the missing key for it. Now my Pads stay over night in water with some washing powder. By the way i forgot to put on gloves, my hands are now black. 🤣 For the software you need a USB cable, had to search for it, i knew i had one in my room here, iam glad i found it fast, the software dont work with ethernet.

Where is the panel on an XP540?

Do you have an image of where it is on an xp960 I cant seem to get it off so easily as you have ??

clean the pads ( and your hands if inky ) with car shampoo . Worked for me when in the ink jet service industry , wash the car and get that ink off too ;-) There appears to be no electrical connections to the pads so it must be just a timer thing for the warning message.

This process doesn’t work on an XP-600. It is quite a bit more involved.

Amazon has some printer parts but in most cases the cost is better to just buy a new printer.

Hilariously I am now going to open my Epson to find out where all the ink from repeated "nozzle cleaning programs" went!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 15% ink used every time I did that like what in the FLYING FANDANGO

Mine are black... like, im putting them under water, and they aren't turning white.

XP-7100 looks much different!!!! Therefore this doesn't apply to ALL XP's.

50 seconds into the video, you decide to tell everyone to remove the cartridges. That's like the captain of a plane flying 30 miles past the airport and then having a crack at landing in the ocean. 😅😅 Cmon man, how we noobs ever gonna stand a chance.

When you look up an instructional video online you watch it in full first to see if you are equipped for the task. You don’t just KZread it, press play, and dive in full throttle without knowing the next turn. So where I mention about the pads is irrelevant. Just saying some people try to find the smallest thing to complain about. Another example, if you look up a recipe online, do you just start cooking while watching it for the first time and then blame the original chef for mentioning an ingredient you don’t have? Things in life aren’t this hard
