I have not tried your microfiber cloths, but I very much want to! However, I'm reluctant to pull the trigger because I've not had good luck with microfiber cloths for dusting, not wet or dry. I always revert to the good ol t-shirt which seems to get what the microfiber leaves behind. Am I doing it wrong?? Or is there really a difference between microfiber you can buy at Target or Walmart, and the ones you sell? Seems to me you wouldn't push them so much if they really didn't work for you. Thanks for your help! 😁 ❤️

@@sapsey72 I have some of the Makers microfiber cloths, as well as some of the less expensive ones. There is definitely a difference in the quality of the cloth. This is what I was thinking
Y’all, try to clean as often as possible so you don’t have so much to clean at once. The longer you wait to clean, the more dirt and mess you accumulate and the job gets tougher. If you don’t tidy and clean a little every few days but wait for weeks or months to tackle the mess-the cleaning process will take longer and you will deal with tougher buildups. I was going through a hard time and let myself go for a while, then, when I came back to my senses and started to get back on track-my goodness-I had so much shit to tidy and clean lol
@agoodnoodle3098

@KitKat10281

Ive been stuck in a deep depressive rut lately, and am finally making my way back out of it. I really let things on the deep cleaning side go, and am ready to start tackling projects one at a time. Youre absolutely right about it being much faster to clean well, more frequently, than it is to try to "deep clean" only every so often!
I was living with my father who was a hoarder and he recently passed away, but growing up he always had housekeepers cleaning for us so i never was taught how to clean myself. Now that he's passed all the cleaning has to be done by myself so thank you for making these videos. They're super helpful. 💗💗💗
It's so easy to clean something already pristinely clean and new! I'd like to see you do a really yucky bathroom! That's a real how to clean video!
@isazmom
4 жыл бұрын
I think the point of the video was just to show us how she teaches her professionals to do the routine & not about how clean her bathroom already is... plus everyone has different situations & different things that are in their own bathrooms.
@linhvo1790
4 жыл бұрын
When you clean the bathroom regularly, it would look clean and new like this. For the really yucky one, the process would be the same but you also need patience to get through it. So the difference between cleaning the clean one and yucky one actually just boils down to your mentality. Once it gets clean, try to set up the routines to take care of it regularly. Besides, the video shows you how to do the process with right tools, and right detergent, not to prove to you that she could clean the dirty bathroom, or to solve your lack of enthusiasm in cleaning bathroom. Cheers.
@Alleellaa

I agree with @Changarookitty. I'm a kinesthetic and visual learner, and I suffer from depression, and no matter how much I'd like to think I could ever achieve a clean bathroom that *stays* clean, it just ain't happening for me. Seeing a real life demonstration of Melissa or anyone tackle a really nasty, neglected, *real life* bathroom would go a long way toward helping me find the motivation to tackle my own mess. It would make me feel less alone, lol.
@Alice_Walker

I totally understand what you're saying. I've been depressed and my house would get so bad but even though this bathroom is super clean when the video starts I would encourage everyone to watch Melissa's videos about the 3 wave system which is a good way to not get so easily distracted and overwhelmed. I am lucky to be recovered from my depression now but having a set process to go around each room to tidy and clean is soooo helpful. Melissa has a recent video about cleaning her messy bedroom but this is a video of a lovely lady doing an awesome job cleaning her kitchen and dining area that looks more like the war zone my house turns into. kzread.info/dash/bejne/lnuCpNGnn9SWiLA.html

I spent over an hour in my bathroom...followed your steps, it has never been this clean. Got on my hands and knees and cleaned the floor...I can't believe how dirty it was! You are a genius!
When cleaning any room especially the bathroom I clean top down, back out...meaning light fixtures, tops of mirrors, front and back of doors, door handles, light switches, outlets, towel bars, shower bars, window sills, shower/tub, toilet, sinks/countertop, mirrors, cabinets, baseboards, then floor. There is a lot of items in the room that collect dust. If you only clean main surfaces, eventually the bathroom is still going to look dirty because of the build up of dust and fingerprints!

This is a great video - I just have to add as a former industrial cleaner that you should always clean the toilets LAST and wear a mask or bandana over your mouth while cleaning the toilet (it takes one rookie moment of experiencing spray to the mouth to get people to do this lol). In the same way that house cleaning works top down and dry to wet, bathroom cleaning works from least gross to most gross. You'll want to dispose of your gloves and change your clothes after washing toilets (the spray even from the most cautious cleaner would surprise you) because you don't want to carry any germs or soiling from the toilet to the rest of your bathroom as you clean, so it's easiest to leave it last and then you don't have to change gloves multiple times and worry about cross-infection.

One of the best videos out there. 100% easy
Im so thankful for videos like that. I'm a teenager who has so to take care of our howl hose and siblings, and it's so much easier to clean with those videos. Tank you smm
Love the toilet brush to dry hack!
I honestly think sweeping the bathroom floor first is always a good idea. It's already gross and not getting that extra mess on your cloth makes it more efficient.

That's why I vacuum first (when the bathroom is dry, i.e. when it's been many hours since anyone showered/bathed).
I also have a cleaning company! I love your videos. I find that the kitchen takes the most time to clean, especially for vacant homes where I have dishwasher, fridge, stove, oven, vent hood, inside /out of drawers,and cabinets... Etc. I've been in business since 2015 but prior to that I cleaned vacant rentals and I could do two one story homes or one -two story by myself per day. Now it seems to take me a couple of days for just one single story. After watching the wave videos I realized I do some of the same things as you, when I do a routine clean. I can pin point where I lose a lot of time, so I'm going to try your wave technique and time myself. Thank you!
Thanks for the bathroom video, just moved into new lease and trying to turn over a fresh leaf and a cleaner toilet, etc. Great ideas and don't cost lots of bucks!
Good timing! I was about to clean my bathroom.

QUESTION - How to organize storage room sufficiently ? Thank you for all your information ! You actually inspired me and my teenager daughter to clean 🤣
Thank you for the heads up, training. You make it so easy just giving direct steps as a guide. Thank you....Jeff North Carolina.
I turned 40 this year and have found myself becoming a home maker as my cancer survivor wife heads back into the workforce. One of the things my household really struggles with is putting things away after using them. Especially makeup, deoderant, hair clips etc. Is there any good tips for making it easier to put things away after using them? We do have like little organizers that my mother in law bought us, but my wife is a teacher and she works 12-14 hour days. I'm not a natural cleaner, I enjoy it and find it really satisfying, but I have never lived without someone else doing the cleaning for me. So this is all new. Thanks for the video I'm off to try to clean the bathroom for the first time!
These are great! Definitely helping me keep my home clean. What is the recipe of the “general bathroom cleaner” you use to spray the outside of the toilet? Trying to make my own. Thanks again for all the great tips!
