@@glennbrian3d I don't really know, but years of fat and of other byproducts of smoking probably aren't good. I error on the safe side. It could be pointless, but I'd rather that than 'I should have' . One last thing, if you ever smoke ground (anything) there is a lot of fat residue. It is just kind of nasty to look at. I have a personal need to clean that.

I heard that the masterbuilt that has the temp controls will stop working on occasin due to moisture getting inside the circute board because its so close to the exaust vent has that ever happened to you

Hi, thanks for the comment. Not so far...that I've noticed. One of the things I like the most about this tool is I can ignore it for about 40 minutes at a time. It may have happened intermittently. Armed with your input, I am going to think about putting some kind of barrier between the vent and the controls. I noticed when I cleaned it that the stains on the controls would not come off. I can see where moisture could be an issue. Thanks for the heads up!

Thank you for commenting. I'm not sure if you are joking or serious. I said near the start of the video that using the methods available for non-electric appliances aren't good. You might get lucky and not damage it with a pressure washer, but probably not. BTW, pressure washers don't remove grease very well without chemicals. If used, those chemicals are very likely going to leave a residue which could end up in any food you prepare after using them. To sum up, it is best not to use a pressure washer to clean an electric smoker. Vinegar&water, and some elbow grease is the safest option. Again, thank you for watching and commenting.
