Make sure it's unplugged! That's step one! Yesss. I really hate toasters. Not easy to clean.

On a stainless steel finish make sure you rub the lemon/salt with the grain of the finish!!

My toaster is plastic outside. You know one of those dollar store toaster. Can I clean the outside of mine the same way?

I would not. The salt acts as a mild abrasive and would likely scratch the plastic.

Somehow got chocolate melted stuck on the toaster, help??
