Thanks for the tip for the garden hose syphon. Been meaning to clean a Softener Salt Tank but wanted to drain off much of the Water before tipping it over and clearing out whatever has settled to the bottom. Simpler is better. (Vs a utility pump or bailing out with bucket(s))

So did the Hurricane blow off the lid to the Salt Brine Tank ? Then debris got in there and you can scoop it out. So if he replaces the lid and put in the hydrogen peroxide to clean the tank then why do they need a service call ? Thanks

Does Culligan water tank, the brine well itself does not come with a cover lid? Many other water tanks have a cover lid for that brine well....can you confirm?

Taking a video of the inside would have shown the recommended level of water.

There's a potential for exothermic hydrogen explosion from the peroxide in the presence of iron in the resin beads. Be educated and cautious when you're doing this, else it could end up dangerous. Or, pay a professional if you're concerned.
