Great videos and info, I had a blocked Vaporiser on my Peugeot Boxer 2.2 Ford engine. This item is so easy to check without having to remove it. It's attached to the battery box under the van. Disconnect the fuel line to it, add a length of pipe to the Vaporiser, and blow through it by mouth. You should be able to blow air through it very easily like blowing through a drinking straw, if air doesn't flow easy and I mean easy then the vaporiser is blocked or getting blocked if you have to struggle to pass air through the pipe.

DPF blocked, no regen, temp too low, so I followed your guide. The glow pug was 1 Ohm (OK), the vaporiser fuel pipe was not seated properly ( leaking), and the vaporiser was blocked. Did what you said, unblocked the vaporiser and clipped the fuel connector in properly. (not sure if it had come out slightly in the first place, because of excess pressure caused by the blockage?). Bingo, all cured. You are a star and saved me a heap of cash. It had been into one garage already when it went into limp mode, who obviously just tricked the car by telling it it had a new DPF. Fine for a short while, then just reoccured. Top man.

Subbed. I 100% agree with some of the other comments about how refreshing it is to see a mechanic that actually 'fixes' things instead of just replacing everything. Love how clear the video is in terms of both the narration AND the video footage itself, keep up the good work mate 💪

Fascinating channel. You are what I refer to as a proper ‘mechanic’ as opposed to what is the norm nowadays and what my old Dad used to call them ‘ Newer Game Mechanics’. In other words, try that part and see if it cures the problem rather than use the process of elimination. You deserve every success with your business my friend.

My vaporiser plug is stuck solid in the exhaust, but if I heat the thread to red glow it will come loose. Based on what I see in this vid it seems it could handle that. Great video! Not only the content, the filming and clipping is also excellent! Good work.

There are many products available that claim to clean out a dpf. They are normally a bottle of fluid that is put into the diesel tank with the diesel fuel. Have you tried any of these and do any of them work?

Im thinking of replacing original system with this (floods engine oil with diesel). Do you know what voltage it uses and does it need pressure for the fuel line? I have tools to monitor pressure sensor and thinking of some kind of relay system to engage. Might sound stupid, but cant get original system working and its trying to do suicide when flooding oil.

From what I've learned here, a pipe from below the differential pressure sensor, squirt some in, then start the engine, it's Renault and the dpf is not far below engine level and fluid may go into the engine.

Hi Jimmy there's no doubt if I need that doing your the right man to contact . Do you know anything about fuel pumps I've a 2009 P3 Volvo V70 d5 I think it's the same as your V70 , ive had 2 new fuel pumps the full units the units came from Volvo in Sweden and the fucker still keeps sticking from time to time and I have to start the car whilst hitting the fuel tank with a hammer , the kids are so used of seeing me lift the back seat in the car to get at the tank they wait for me to start the car before they get in now 😂 it's been to 3 different mechanics and no ones has fixed it .

@@chucky2316 hi Chucky I've changed the filter 3 times now in 3 years , I've used Man and Bosch all I can think is there must be some dirt in the tank but as far as I've seen the filters look pretty clean when I've changed them , the cars drives fantastic and has loads of grunt the turbo feels brilliant 👌 and I do drive it like it should be , it does long drives as high speed on the motor way , it isn't my daily driver I drive a van , so I do look forward to taking out the Volvo I love it , I change oil in it twice a year and do a transmission oil drop at least once a year since I started changing it 3 years ago at 70000 it's only got 95000 on it now and the paint work is really good but I have worked to keep it good 😊
