I know I’ve seen the tip about using a matching solid under chunky glitter, but I had forgotten! Thanks for the reminder because my last go with chunky glitter had me swearing off it because after two layers of it and the clear, it was tooooo thick. This was the video I needed for the chunkies to redeem themselves! 🤪

Disclaimer: I LOVE glitter. Love it. After your glitter dip it, the result was like a punch in the face. Lol. That's a lot of glitter. BUT, once clear dipped and filied and top coated, I'm in love. Beautiful!!

Depends on the grit. Most of the standard ones I get are the same (though different colors)

Hi Melissa. I love your videos. Any advice on preventing your base liquid from going gloopy? I am using Kiara Sky Dip Liquids and even though I wipe off my brush between applications, my base has gone gloopy. I tried adding a little acetone to thin it out, but not a great improvement. I am a dip beginner. I have also noticed my natural nails are getting thinner. I thought dip powder was supposed to be better for your nails? I assume its caused by the acetone soak off?

The key to non-gloopy liquids is getting the right liquids! Kiara Sky are definitely sensitive ones. Get yourself the Double Dipp'd liquids and don't look back! You can use my code for 18% off. @@MelissasManis Thank you so much for the reply Melissa :) I live in Australia, so not sure if Double Dipp'd will ship here and sadly I find the exchange rate and shipping fees are so high, it makes it a very expensive shop ... I have been removing the mani with the acetone soak off method, in the plastic bag and heat pack, which seems to work quite well (very drying though). I hardly file my natural nail at all before application, just very gently. Maybe I should try not filing and just doing a coat of base coat first instead of filing at all? I have seen that done by some on Utube. Anyway, thanks again and I will check out Double Dipp'd 😀

What brand do you use for your builder gel nails I just bought a bunch of dip powders cause I want to help my nails grow and curious if the builder gel nails will help as well

What peel base do you use? Would it work with a dip base that has been activated underneath? Does the dip powder on top of the peel base come off easy?

I use Double Dipp'd. If you give the base a shiny top before applying peel base it should work just fine!

I don't understand how your nails are so thin to begin with when you have so many layers on already. I really struggle with keeping everything thin!

I just keep the layers thin! Using liquids and powders that are thinner help a lot.

Tried this tonight did not turn out this pretty I should have used a cupcake liner
