Great tip on filing the shape after each dip. That has been the one thing about dip powder I hate is how thick it gets. I will definitely be trying this!

This is definitely an easier way to do it, and this is one of the more difficult ombres to do! I always say it never hurts to push yourself to try new things ❤

I love these so much! I’m a beginner and have my first dip kit on the way. i was going to do a solid colour to practice the method, and then progress to a traditional white/pink ombré french (baby boomer). Do you think once i perfect a baby boomer, to then try nude/black ombré? Since the black can be difficult? I always get acrylics done, but due to the constant lockdowns i would love to perfect my own nails so 1. i always have great nails 2. cost saving even when lockdown is lifted!

Yesss! I definitely think the pink/white ombre is easier and more forgiving. This technique I use for the black/nude makes it a little bit easier than I've found other techniques to be though, so definitely achievable for a new dipper!

You would apply the gel base, pour over the base color, cure 30s, then scrub the color, then finish the cure 🥰

Why did you wait for base coat to dry ? I thought you have to dip into the powder straight after putting base coat

Love this colorway. I've done black to red tips before, but not in powder not even sure how'd you do that actually, but I may have to test it out at some point.

Hi! They're both about the same amount of blackness. Black Pearl will give you 1 coat black. Onyx is easier to work with though and can be used with gels!

Beautiful and great technique. An advice, to present the finished product with the hands washed because the black powder on the hand makes them to look not so good.
