Placed an order for 3 brushes and will put them through their paces! Can’t wait :) My pet peeve with brushes lately (even mid-range) is that the handle comes out of the aluminium barrel. Very annoying and I never have time to glue it in when I’m using it, so just a constant irritation.

Without a doubt, the fluffy foundation brush applies my EL powder foundation so much better than the sponge it comes with! We should be using makeup brushes more and more! Thanks for the explanation. I’m a pescatarian, so when given the choice, I like choosing cruelty free products as much as possible.

Great information thanks Sue, it’s really helpful to know what to look out for. I had no idea, Will you do a follow up or two on which brushes do what and which products need which applications? (I don’t ask much do I?!)

I have heavenly luxe brush from It cosmetics that I use a lot but it has recently started to shed hair 😢 It’s about 4 years old. I think it is the washing although I am careful how I wash my brushes.

Hi Mary. Four years is quite a good lifespan. It could be that the glue in the ferrule is starting to wear away.

@@maryrose7842 exactly! That's why I say that all these high end brands are exhorbitantly over priced. Any thing over $15, and you're just paying for the name.
