This video convinced me to get the Omnibass after years of using DjinnBass and PunkBass. Somehow it's able to pull off the things I like about both but better.

how do you keep your cpu so low in FL while running all your plugins on projects? My computer is pretty decent but after a few instances of neural dsp and parallax, after adding drums I usually run into high cpu and crackling

It's crazy that compared to umansky bass, grove bass sounds almost like a clean bass tone through the same processing. Also the default clan tone in umansky bass sounds already gritty.

I could imagine Eurobass works well with something like fabfilter saturn to create some nice and dirty resonant midrangey 500-1500hz range distortion to get along with some dirty chuggin metal riffs. like you said, it has a more traditional metal sound or in my ears midrange to it. however after seeing this vid I just really like how articulate humansky and grovebass are, and how much 3-6khz presence they have in comparison to eurobass. the stringeyness of those would really cut through better if that's you're goal. would love to see a comparison with djinnbass! how would the midrange and higher presence compare to all of these

I asked Ermin if he's interested in sampling a Bongo (because I have a 6 string PDN Bongo) and he turned me down lol, this was late 2019 I think...? They are very well sampled instruments and pretty useful for writing stuff.

  • @vigaxan86

Truebass is what Submission calls their libraries that have each note sampled on every string, meaning you can choose to play notes in different positions to get a more natural sound. Djinnbass wasn't sampled like that so you just have control over note articulations. It doesn't sound as realistic but if you program it well it sounds just fine in a mix in my opinion.

Nothing more satisfying than laying down the bass track listening to the drums. Guitars become a fuzzy mess when mixing and mastering a track but the bass guitar always cuts through the mix without even trying. Hopefully more people take the time to play and record their bass tracks and experience the satisfaction. but plugins have gotten better over the years. Also some of these plugins cost more than bass guitars and there are tons of free bass amp vsts and pedal vsts for distortion.
