Hello from the U.S., I assume you guys are in your fall/winter months now because I started cutting my grass a few months ago at the start of Spring here. About another week and it'll be officially Summer here. I just bought a Scag 21 inch with their Honda 4hp commercial grade engine option. Not sure if that option is available in your country. The mower is for my yard only, no commercial use. That Honda engine option is the most expensive option for that 21 inch mower ($2,049. USD) The two Kohler engines are around $1,700 and $1,900 USD. Pushed my old B&S powered lawn mower about 8 or 9 years then the cold start problem. I was told the combination of plastic carb and Ethanol gas. Here in the States in major metropolitan areas the Government forces us to use a 10% Ethanol blended gas. Not good for small engines! Luckily, I can take a short drive out of town and pick-up some Ethanol free gas. Called my youngest son and told him to come over and pick-up my free broken down lawn mower. He's already replaced that carb and is running Ethanol free gas. This coming Sunday is Father's day, and he's invited us over for BBQ and a dip in the swimming pool. I'm sure he'll get my old mower out and show me how good it runs now (show off!) I'll have to tell him no barrowing my new mower if my old one dies, better call your older brother and get his, lol!
